What is the purpose of paying to send mail certified if the mail carriers don't even attempt to deliver it to the door?
Whether sending or receiving certified mail, it has NEVER been delivered to the door. The only way certified mail is received is if the recipient goes to the post office to pick it up. They always leave a note saying they "tried to deliver", but I am home during normal hours and they have never attempted to deliver certified mail to my door. Every time I send certified mail, I get it back because "it was not able to be delivered" (because they made no attempt to deliver).
The employees and supervisors make up any and every excuse to not deliver mail, and it is ALWAYS blamed on the homeowner/recipient for one reason or another. I grew up in a neighborhood that had a walking carrier and cannot understand why the carriers in this area are not required to get out of their vehicle to deliver anything. If it doesn't fit in your mailbox, it's getting taken back to the Post Office and you'll get a slip to go pick it up. They will not take the 10 seconds to walk to your door.

Caitlin is amazing along with every person I meet here:). I’ve probably dropped off over 7,000 packages in the list 4 months and they handle them like a champ (and get every one scanned).

Since moving to PA, I've been burdened with having Windsor as my post office.. and it truly is a burden. Mail is missing, mails been delivered to another address, packages undeliverdd because it's too hard to get out of a vehicle & walk it to the front porch, packages left on the open mailbox door because walking it to the front porch is too hard, mail taken to the post office closer to my address because it's too hard to walk it to the front porch, "delivery location unavailable" ...because it's TOO HARD to walk it to the front porch. The Windsor post office is the WORST post office I've ever had the unpleasant pleasures of dealing with. Worthless.DO YOUR JOB!

It's amazing how for the longest time my mail was delivered at the same time. And if there we packages they were put at our door. Now for the last 3 yrs this postalperson is all over the place time wise. And when there are packages?? On the ground at the mailbox, at the side of the house we barely use. Or it's undeliverable!!! Really??? DO YOUR JOB

So fed up with not getting my mail! Everyone one on my street ends up with some else's mail or my mail in their boxes! Almost all the time my packages say they have been delivered an never received them! Sure miss my retired mail lady I have had for over 20 years.

I have been to a lot of the different post office locations within York, and this one is the best. Professional and courteous service. And they are always extra helpful when sending my packages overseas to my deployed spouse.
