These guys showed up early even though I was 70 miles away in MD. They were very careful with my things, nothing was broken or scratched. They did not try to raise the price over the quote like the last company I used to move. Would definitely recommend them, great experience A+++++

Consumers beware! A 1000-mile move of a 3 to 4 bedroom single family home should be @ $4300 according to current prices. My move at 248 miles was half of what would have been a normal single family home, but I was charged over $8700. Price gouging is rampant in this economy, the moving business included. This company came over on Sunday to see I had little furniture, no appliances, more than half of the 1/3 packed. I had another company booked for months, but my daughter found out they would hold your items to extort $$ on the other end. This was Brightline moving out of Florida. So hired DeLaughter's two days before move at gigantic price of $5770. (Figured last minute I should?) They arrived with two older ladies and 2 non-hefty 20-year-olds to do the job and the owner. His main crew of husky guys were at a larger move. At the end of the day @ 4 pm, he began complaining that I said more would be done. I worked with his crew all day and cleared the basement mof junk myself, had it hauled by another company even though he said this would be included. He acted hysterical and said he would take all off the truck & leave. He saw what I had days before and I took every picture, mirror & shelf down before they returned. My home was clean and very organized. His wife then said they would leave if I didn't pay them $2000 more. I paid half then and because closing was the next day, I paid the other half upon delivery including the $2000 to ensure getting all off the truck. I wish I had done more research, been more careful. But I would not recommend this moving company because they overcharge usually I'm sure and the owner is rude. It may be they do this to women more than guys? Not sure.

I had a 400 Lb aquarium to move I was getting discouraged because every mover I called said they would move it but then canceled out. They came moved the tank in no time. I wld definitely use them again. Very professional and polite

Confirmed our expectations of a full-service pack and move and unpack offering.Good scheduling ability with times that meet our needs.Very helpful with our needs at a stressful time (changing homes after 20 years). Referrals to auctioneers in our area with known performance to help purge accumulation of "stuff".Delauters also provided clean out/up/disposal service, very necessary to accommodate our home buyer.

Just not trustworthy or great. Some of their staff were good, but there were only two really young people, one grandmother and his wife, about 50, who was on the phone alot. So not enough help. Most of his guys were at another big move? DeLaughters way overcharged and didn't care about how they packed most boxes. The owner John complained a lot, after most of truck packed made drama then his wife/biz partner took me into the house crying. She said to give them $2000 more than the $5700 already paying for moving 1800 square feet 5 hours and 15 min. away or they would unpack the truck and leave. Unethical people I say. Their workers said upon delivery the medium moving truck was only 2/3 full and should not have cost so much. Now in getting settled I find they didn't pack well at all. For example glasses, lamps were broken, my corner Cabinet chipped because it wasn't protected or wrapped on top. Also the tv remotes, ports were not put in the big box w the TV and most boxes not marked well. I had great pre-printed packing stickers, but they weren't used. I cleared out and packed my basement storage areas, called a junk remover (they were supposed to do that as part of contract). So I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to move anything. You will likely get your price changed and ripped off. Not to mention your possessions not packed carefully or boxes marked accurately.

An amazing experience. From my first call to my follow up call with details to completion of the job. I had a challenging piece of equipment to move and it was executed promptly, when promised, and with smiles all around. I recommend Delauter's without hesitation.

I needed a 750-800lb gun safe moved from Reading to Hannover the next day! I called a few places and Delauters A1 Moving Helpers answered right away. They got me a quote right away same day.They are the little guy taking on big jobs, not like those big wig companies that run you through hoops. John, the owner personally saw to it our safe was loaded, transported and unloaded safely to exactly where we needed it! He was busting his butt right there with his helpers. They charged us almost 1/3 of what the big wig companies quoted us. In and out job, very friendly! I will always, always be using Delauters A1 from now on. Thank you guys! NO ONE ELSE would have responded so quickly, been so professional and for a great price like you guys.

Delauter's A1 was able to help us out so quickly. We bought a dining room set on OfferUp and were able to move the table and chairs ourselves. The china cabinet was just too large and very heavy. We called A1 and they were able to get it moved across town on the same day. Price was very reasonable. We appreciate John's responsiveness and quick commitment to the job. THANK YOU!

A friend of ours recommended this company so we called about having some family heirloom furniture moved from York to Kentucky. The shipment was small and would have been very costly with all the other moving companies we called..... and very risky with the "on the cheap" companies. The owner and his awesome staff figured out a way they could help us. Everyone we spoke with and met along the way was super. We even had a phone call from our family in KY telling us how friendly and amazing the people were who delivered the items. I can't say enough good things about them and will definitely use them again to move the remainder of our things when we sell the house.
