Amazing how Hertz is still in business, cars available but not one straight forward answer to simply rent a vehicle. I've only ever rented from Hertz once before, but will certainly make sure to NEVER recommend or rent from them again! Totally unprofessional and treat customers like toddlers who don't understand simple things, I'd rather walk (even being disabled) or deal with Uber vs these clowns!

Have had zero issues with this rental agency office. Always nice people that have me in and out in no time. Always upgrade me to a nicer car at no extra cost. I just wish I could get a hole of their office.

Their rules are ridiculous why they run ur credit for a service u paying out of pocket with a debit card… and then they let u reserve the vehicle, does not tell u anywhere that u have to pay with a credit card when u go in person …but what bothered me the most is the credit being run as if i am buying a car and not renting it specially if i am paying out of pocket with my debit card.

There are 2 gentlemen working here which are very professional and worked efficiently,However one of the workers here treated me really nasty I think she was the manager, a really nasty attitude, she has to learn how to interact professionally with customers.Besides for her, my experience was flawless!Thank you to the 2 gentlemen!

The precise reason for this 5-star review is for the spectacular customer service of one employee, in particular. We had a lot of hiccups in renting a vehicle given our unique situation and JASON was patient, helpful and so incredibly kind the entire process. If he is still working there, we will most definitely be back. Thank you Jason, for all your help. We truly appreciate it so much!!! We hope Hertz recognizes the stellar employee they have in you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a great experience at Hertz on Kidder st ,they made renting a car look so easy compared to other rental companies ,they answered all of my questions, since I'm not a smoker the cars were impeccably clean and the staff very friendly all of them ,i was very happy with the service and most definitely I'll keep renting at this location .

They gave me a rental that now I want to go buy one of. It was a great vehicle, nice and clean. Easy pick up of rental and easy drop off. Everyone there was very nice and personable. Will definitely look to rent from there again when I need a vehicle

So apperantly Hertz doesn’t pay you back for early check in. My actual car was finished from the shop, and dropped my rental keys off in the dropoff box a day early when they were closed. Don’t ever go here, what a scam. On the other hand Enterprise does allow early check in.

I've rented here twice and will not do it again. Both time I waited about 30mins to get my car (not a big deal). However what was a big deal was the employees had no clue what they were doing at all. My first rental I extended for a while, when I went to return the vehicle the guy wanted to charge over $600 and it took him calling a few people to figure out I didn't owe anything. After about a week I didn't even get 50% of my deposit back. My second rental 1. They didn't have the full size car I requested and paid for so they put me in an intermediate (whatever) during the process the guy started an entirely new reservation which had me pay more and had I not called corporate I would have been charged a no-show fee for not picking up. Also it has been about 2.5 weeks and I have now received my deposit yet (dealing with corporate to fix it) they owe me a total of $350) Wilkes-Barre Hertz is a joke. The boss gets too stressed and doesn't know how anything works...I've rented from many rental companies spending well over 100k and this place is by far the worst. They just lost a very good customer.

Worth reading if your getting a car here. We rent a car on April 23rd, for May 3rd. Ample time right? Wrong. We show up, 15 minutes early, my husband goes in to come right back out. The gentleman looks strung out now, saying come back in at 4, we don't have a car here. The lots empty...We ordered a full size vehicle (Toyota Camry or Chevy Malibu, we know my husband fits and gas is WAY better). They say you can have a Renegade jeep, we have no vehicle for you- uh...no. Not working for a 6'2” man. Not to mention we are going on a 11+ hour trip the very next morning with two younger children to see our eldest for her Graduation. They then try and problem solve (I give them that, but still utterly ridiculous!) and make us take that to the Avoca Airport to trade. Again, at the airport, we don't have enough vehicles (lots filled of vehicles, and yes I know many are being held) and we get a midsize SUV. Dinged up, scratches, dents, but better cleaned than the last. We left our midsize SUV behind because we wanted very decent gas mileage for this long trip (less money to spend endlessly for gas) and ample room for taller family members. The gas mileage, on average 24 mpg it hardly jumped up) was not the best and it was a tight fit for everyone's stuff. We had to make it work and just got on with it all. Honestly, What should have been a 20 minute process was over an hour and beyond stressful. I hardly write reviews, but this was just unprofessional. Don't overbook or not pay attention to your itinerary for people who booked decently in advance and leave them to do all the work you failed to do.

The WORST! Dont deserve 1 star !!! After calling for hours the day before & getting no answer, I went into the location on Kidder St in Wilkes Barre to confirm the car I needed for the next day would be available. The next day I am pulling the car out of the space I noticed the breaks are squeaking LOUD, car smelled like smoke, the windshield is dirty from the inside, garbage on the floor in the back & the gas NOT on a full tank - noted full tank on my ticket. I go back inside to inform Lena Hittle of my concerns she asked if i knew what the gas was on I told her it wasn't on full and she needed to come outside take a look & adjust my ticket while she was confirming the gas I do a walk around a notice a big sticky spot on the outside of the back door also the grill was full of dead insects. I tell her this car was not cleaned. Lena claimed she cleaned the car herself. She offered to send it to the carwash I had no time to wait.Before taking off I attempted to set up my GPS and realized the bluetooth option was not working. Lena did NOT offer to come outside and assist me with the radio, but she did say I was compIaining too much and threatened to call the Police on me. I told her to call them but realized I did not have time for that either! Lena refused to give me contact info to her supervisor and gladly referred me to the 800 # which she know is a JOKE!Lena is too lazy too answer the phone, she lacks professionalism and Customer Service is DEAD at this location while she is at the helm!I have been a Hertz customer for over 20 years and a loyal customer particularly to this location since 2015.I was here when Vince trained her.I received better service under both Becca and Vince 's management.Will be escalating this to the highest levels!!Christian was very kind and seems to know what customer service is when I returned the car.
