I’m writing about my store experience yesterday. My sister and I were in the back of the store shopping for yarn. We got to the store around 7:30PM knowing that the store closes at 8:00PM. However, we lost track of time and didn’t hear the announcements for the store closing. At 8:04PM, an associate started rushing towards us and yelling, “You need to exit the store! We’re closed!” We thought we had done something wrong so we put down all the yarn we were holding and started quickly walking towards the Exit. On our way to the front of the store, we noticed there were still some people there walking around, waiting for fabric to be cut or waiting to check out. We became confused because the woman had made it sound like we did something wrong and like we were the last ones in the store. I turned around and waited for her to come back to the front of the store and when she did, I approached her and calmly asked why she had asked us to leave so aggressively and told her that I didn’t appreciate her making us feel as if we did something wrong since there were still other people in the store. She told us she had been announcing that the store was closing and that we were ignoring her, to which I replied that we hadn’t heard the announcements and we had no problem leaving but that she could have approached us in a kinder way. She kept interrupting me and talking over me. She said she had people working who she had to send home and that we were keeping them in the store. I told her it was only 4 minutes past closing time and that my only issue was the way she had approached us. She just kept saying that she would call security and the police if we didn’t leave. I again repeated that we had no problem leaving but that I didn’t appreciate being approached and spoken to like we did something wrong. I never raised my voice or cursed at her. I was calm and respectful. She more or less kicked us out of the store. I have never had such a horrible experience at this store. She could have come up to us and said “I’m sorry but we are closed for the evening. Please bring your purchases to the register.” We would have gladly walked off and apologized. I’m furious with the treatment we received. I’m a paying customer and should never be treated this way by an associate.

I have been treated like horribly by the employees here. I will never ever go back and my entire household and friends will be filing a grievance on my behalf

The store itself is great..... If you can get in.You see, I wouldnt have a problem if I didn't drive an hour to get to your location, passing another JoAnnes in the process only to be greated with absurd and incorrect store hours sign.UPDATE YOUR HOURS WITH GOOGLE!!!! That way people don't have to pay out the wazoo in gas to come to your store for nothing.Why would you want all of these negative reviews? The problem could easily be fixed. That way when I type in your location, Google tells me your closed. No worries.Hopefully, if I can ever make it to the store when your are actually open, as the hours your handmade sign have and the ones you keep are different.

Disappointed that the hours are listed online until 9 but a sign taped to the door states 5pm. Would save a lot of negative reviews if you'd just update the hours online instead of having people drive all the way out there only to waste gas and have to go home empty handed. Based on the recent reviews this has been going on for some time now.

Automatic 1star because there hours are much different than whats showing on google, They closes at 5pm. And the door lady was passive aggressive about it saying they need more help and to get people apply. Uh no, raise your wages and maybe you guys will get workers.

It would be super cool if this store would actually update their hours on google. This is the SECOND time I’ve driven out here (I live 45 minutes away) and they were closed by 4 or 5 PM and didn’t post their hours online. Done coming here.

I am so frustrated with this location. The last 4 trips I have made to this store in the past month, I got there, only to find a “closed today” sign on the door—even though their store hours online show that they’re open. Even when they have an irregular schedule posted on the door for the week, they don’t follow it, as I’ve found it closed during those hours too. If understaffing is the issue, then at least update your Google business hours to be considerate of your customers who spend time and gas money traveling to and from your store, only to have wasted a trip. It is not that difficult, I used to do the same thing for my own business. I can tell that this has been happening to many customers because the store next door literally has a sign, offering frustrated Joanns customers a discount. Management of this store really needs to do way better before corporate is notified of how this location is being operated.
