First time renting from Hertz. And last. Poor communication skills. Non existent customer service abilities. If you rent an SUV make sure you have a credit card. You can't use actual money to rent only SUVs aparantly. When asked why, he said he doesn't make the rules. Cool bro.

The branch manager agreed and promised to offer a discount for the atrocious cigarette smoke car they gave us for our 1 week rental. They offered no other options at the time of rental and we had no time to cancel and find something else. They even put a note on the rental paperwork at the start of the week to ensure this would happen. They acknowledged they tried to use special cleaner to remove the smell. We had headaches from the persistent, horrible smell the entire week. There is no excuse. The manager, Qadir, did not honor the agreement. It’s complete dishonesty and mismanagement which seems to be the trend with this location. The car also did not have working window wiper fluid and was dirty on the outside. The side view mirrors were not able to be used until we cleaned them ourselves.

Hertz is absolutely awful! Believe the negative reviews. Unfortunately we had no other option as we only needed a one way rental. Enterprise does not do one way rentals. Picked the vehicle up in Rochester NY at 4 p.m. & returned the car to Wexford PA the next morning. Once on the thruway at higher speeds the rear tire had an awful vibration. At lower speeds & breaking it rocked from corner to corner (front to back)When telling the associate this he merely shook his head yes. We asked for some compensation & it was denied. Called corporate, they instructed us to email them & they would make some sort of an adjustment. We were not asking for a full refund. It was $160 for a 4 hr ride ( under 300 miles) We emailed them & their response was sorry you had a bad experience & we look forward to serving you again. Really??I called today and they now tell me they can’t issue any type of credit I need to call the place where we rented it. WHAT A RUN AROUND!! BEWARE!!

Had a rental reserved and paid for, showed up to not having thr tesla I paid for but my only option being a chevy Trax. The icing it was more expensive than the tesla. Another women walked in and was an hour later than her scheduled pick up time and she was told they gave it away because she was late

Great experience. I was a little concerned when booking due to the many negative reviews, but I had no issues. This was probably the smoothest rental car experience I have ever had. Pickup took 30 seconds, the car was new, clean and had no issues. Overall a great experience.

I am posting this review because of the unbelievably poor way that my son was treated by this Wexford location. They don't even deserve one star. They gave my son an all electric vehicle. Told him that there were many charging stations between Wexford and Jim Thorpe,PA. Gave him a Tesla adapter (which DIDN’T work). My son’s trip which was supposed to take 4.5 hours is now going on 8 hours. maybe in the grand scheme of things, it’s not so bad, but I would want to know if the employees at that Hertz location would enjoy being treated the same way. I don’t think so. It’s a terrible way to do business and I would be happy if they went out of business.

Idk. I'm fixing to pick up a rental this week and looking at all these reviews I'm a little worried. I am on a tight budget and I have seen 3 reviews where hertz charged more than they were suppose to.

I was just insulted on the phone when called to confirm my rental, and was told by the representative that the credit card “has to be in your name, Candace, and not your husband’s”. I don’t have a husband! Really? Who says that? Total insult to all females!

Had reservation for over a month... They rented the car we had reserved out to someone else, then didn't have a vehicle that met our insurance coverage. They were supposed to deliver the rental to our garage and instead picked myself (39 weeks pregnant) and our 4 yr old up just to take us back to Hertz to tell us that. When we didn't have the money to pay our of pocket (previous reservation was covered and confirmed by insurance) they left myself and our 4 yr old stranded.While waiting to find a ride/Uber they left 4 customers in the waiting area to go vacuum another vehicle. Another customer right after me had a reservation for an Arcadia, and again they had already rented the Acadia out to someone else and offered a minivan then charged them more for it. DO NOT USE this place.

Please avoid renting from this location. Especially when it has Qadir Taylor (Joseph was reasonable but couldn’t do anything as well) as branch manager! I rented a car for 2 days and took the usual video and picture of fuel before leaving the lot ( fuel tank was not full when i got the car. When i returned it, i was charged $50 fuel surcharge for not returning back full tank (even though i returned the car with 20 miles more fuel than i originally got it for). I callee this office and later visited to show the proof of video and pictures with timestamp and they refuse to acknowledge it and kept showing me pictures they apparently took 15 mins before rental. The mileage in the pictures and by the time I received the car was off my 20 miles (they don’t have cameras apparently ) and when I argued that what matters is the fuel tank reading when i took it, they kept saying nothing should have changed ( again no cameras to track as well) and i left after having multiple heated arguments with Qadir. This branch doesn’t know anything about customer service and are here to scam customers who don’t check their receipts . I got the issue resolved within 5 mins of calling the hertz customer service # something the branch folks should have taken care in the first place and not waste 1-2 hrs of a customer time on what was clearly their fault. For anyone else facing similar issues,please contact hertz customer service directly.

Having car issues and need to drop car off at dealership to get fixed. Check with Hertz before making plans to get car fixed as I understand the issues car rental companies are having. Make the reservation with Hertz and then call and make all plans to get car fixed. Hertz calls an hour later and says they don't have any cars. Then why did you take my reservation???? It's not like I was asking to pick a car up 3 days later. I want to pick it up in 4 hours. You didn't know you don't have cars in 4 hours? Very frustrating.

I rent from here because company uses hertz and it is close to house. I do understand the pandemic issues BUT:1. They don't have the. car type you rent. Come up with bs that small suv is large sedan.my biggest complaint is the cars are a mess. I rented and the last 3x not great. This weeks rental was a disaster mess. The rental agreements from past renters were still in the car and notta was vacuumed and dust and crumbs everywhere. The gent working there just stares at you with no apology or anything despite myself staying calm and telling him in a kind professional way. I would of refused but needed to be in NJ right away but three strikes you are out. Hertz needs revamped

Easily the worst rental car and rental car experience I've ever had. I was forced here by the car dealership that ended up wrecking my car during repairs. The man running the counter was the most unpleasant person I've ever experienced. Didn't even respond when I said hello. Took him forever to get get the paperwork. When I went out to see the car, this thing is DISGUSTING. I don't know where they found this thing, but there is absolutely no way they can tell me it was cleaned. "Hertz Gold Standard Clean" is a definite lie. Outside is completely scratched up (we took pictures to document) and inside had stains. There's even a really weird "I support troopers" sticker on the back like it's someone's personal car- SO STRANGE. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!
