I ordered hybrid and was asked if I preferred a dominant look of either Volume or Natural. I asked for volume dominant, but I look like I don't have lash extensions at all. I had these done for a photoshoot with my family, but I can do a better job than this at home :(
I received no refund, just an apology. They offered to take them out but we could not find a time. Now I am stuck with these useless things on my eyeballs over my vacation! They are great people, just be very clear about what YOU mean by volume. Ask what a "9" vs a "12" means, for example. I am very disappointed.

I just got married on Saturday and wanted to get my eyelashes done prior. This was my first ever experience with lash extensions, so I had no idea what to expect. The entire staff was so wonderful, sweet, and made the process so easy. The experience was great, but the results were even better.
I was a sobbing mess on Saturday, and when I tell you these lashes stayed, they STAYED. After a whole day of me being an emotional wreck and general maintenance over the next few days, they still look gorgeous. I’m so happy with my experience and can’t thank you enough for making me look and feel so beautiful!

NOT inclusive to people:
I had scheduled to get my lashes done around the Wexford Area and landed on Deka Lash. I was excited to look amazing as a 1st time Bridesmaid, and Deka Lash rejected me because of the "length of my lash."
I am a Black girly, my eyelashes are naturally curly. It is hard to measure the required lash length at Deka Lash and other "big name places" for people like me. Not to sound entitled, but as a girls' girl, it is heartbreaking that places like Deka Lash do not include girls/women of diverse backgrounds and lash types.
They have implausible excuses that they "care for your lashes, they do not want to damage it, etc." However, that is their kindest way of limiting their services to diverse groups, and an excuse to not train their lash estheticians to be versatile in their skills to make all women feel beautiful.
Every girl deserves an equal chance to feel beautiful regardless of their lash types, and I would recommend going to Hannah at PA Nails in Wexford. She will go above and beyond to make you feel beautiful and be diligent with your eyelashes. Most importantly, the whole point of an eye lash extension is to enhance one's lash length as long as they have lashes, and this can be done without damaging one's eyelashes. My lashes are healthy and I have found compassionate and skillful lash estheticians to not damage my lashes. Additionally, my lashes do not fall quicker than my White peers or other peers with straight lashes that are "perceived to be long."
I was upset and heartbroken by their rejection, but more upset at the organization than their workers since they are required to follow a guideline. For the workers there, I am not sure if you can advocate for other girls/women who do not meet the stringent criteria, but being a girls' girl (aka women amplifying the voices of other women) would mean a lot to us.
For now, for the ladies with limited access to organizations similar to Deka Lash, Hannah at PA Nails will be patient with you and make you feel like the most beautiful girl. The workers there are humble and caring. I would recommend ANY girl and women (e.g., Asian, Black, White, Indigenous American, Latin, Arab, Pacific Islanders, etc.) to seek people and lash organizations that are compassionate when selecting their eye lash esthetician. My lashes for the wedding I was in lasted the 3 weeks and more, my lashes were not damaged, and my lashes are still healthy per usual.
EDIT: In response to the owner's comment
Although you are a minority owned business, this does not exclude you from receiving critical feedback; It is valuable to improve accessibility to all people who seek your service despite their healthy lash shaping differently or having different lengths.
If you strive to include all people, without the defensive response mechanism of "we pride ourselves on DEI standard," please consider my constructive criticism since it's not meant to be malicious whatsoever.
Asserting that DEKA "strives to meet all "our" valuable clients requests," is insignificant for those who can't become your clients to begin with due to the lash length requirement; it's important to not deceit potential customers because feedback like mine will continue to emerge from those of us who got declined your service.
Rather, be transparent if you lack the ability to serve potential clients who will get rejected and convey to them that you are working on getting there (if it's true that you're aiming to offer diverse, equitable, and inclusive service).
Lastly, idk the process of checking past appointments of clients that got rejected. [For detailed info, I did a walk-in to an additional Deka Lash that day after the rejection from the previous one, and that may be why you

I love my lashes. I do think that the business should list on your confirmation email that there is an extra $8 charge if your appointment is completed by a "master." The charge is listed in the "upgrade my appointment" section, but if not familiar with the procedure, I don't know that people would be aware of this charge. The other upgrades were add-ons... so unless looking carefully, and realizing what you were booking, it is a surprise additional cost.Service: Eyelash extensions

They intentionally use glue that does not hold up well to upswell you and make sure your membership package is used quickly otherwise they keep your money. I was rarely asked what I wanted as far as lashes and they did the bare minimum, like every other lash for a huge premium then insist you tip.

My lashes lasted less than 24 hours. I have had lashes for over 10 years - I know how to care for them. Now I have the pleasure of submitting a fraudulent claim against them. For 2 months they took 69.99 out of my checking account WITHOUT authorization. Now this store and Monroeville are pointing fingers at each other. The call center is useless. They say I have to talk to the store, the store says call center.
