I've always liked coming here. I've shopped at this store occasionally for like 18 years. It's one of the few thrift stores that has reasonably priced items. The store is pretty much always clean. I like going in the morning because it's pretty calm then. I almost always end up buying something for someone in my family. I love that they have sales. So on any given day, two color tags will be 50% off and one color tag will be 99 cents. I was actually there today and found many NICE things for only 99 cents. This is definitely a fun place to go look around. The most important thing to remember about this location though is that they do not give plastic bags for your items. You have to remember to bring your own bags or you can buy a red reusable bag for a dollar. The Uniontown location is nice also if you're ever in that area.

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Salvation Army store in West Mifflin. Not only did they chase me out of the store with a false battery-operated wall clock, but when I confronted them about it, the response was shockingly aggressive.
Instead of acknowledging their error, they defensively compared their clock to those in banks, which was entirely irrelevant. Last time I checked, banks don't arbitrarily set their clocks differently from the rest of the world just to inconvenience customers.
Their clock being off by 7 minutes resulted in them closing early, effectively robbing customers of their shopping time. And who knows, maybe they open early too, using some mystical clock only they know about.
To top it off, the staff had the audacity to talk negatively about me when they thought I couldn't hear them because of my headphones.
This level of unprofessionalism and aggression towards customers is completely unacceptable. Corporate needs to step in and address the behavior of their employees before they drive away any more customers. Needless to say, I won't be setting foot in that store again.

This complaint is about one person only, complete and totally disrespectful, said it was 5:55pm meanwhile it’s 5:49 and she gets extremely nasty and says the store is closed the we need to check out and leave, no respect what so ever. Red head with maroon jacket worked evening 8/21/23. Take some customer services classes or find a new job. Other then that merchandise is great found a lot!

I used to frequent this store. I went 3X a week and loved shopping there. However recently they've been pricing things extremely high. I saw a set of bowls for $150 here and found the same ones in better condition on Mercari for $80. Shame on Salvation Army for taking advantage when all those items are donated. I will make sure I tell people to donate and shop elsewhere and suggest you do the same if you're reading this.

I went into the store today and it was 5:30 , they close at 6. I found something in 5 minutes and then went to check out. There were about 10 people in front of me, as the line went forward there were 2 people in front of me and they announced that the store was closed. There was an elderly gentleman in front of me that needed help taking off the staples and tags from his purchase. Mike the employee was so nice and helpful!!! He goes above and beyond to help people at this store. He was never short or rushing anyone and always with a And smile!

The Salvation Army Donation Center is a great place to donate your unwanted items. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they make it easy to donate. The center is clean and organized, and the donations are tax-deductible. I would definitely recommend donating here over the other places.

My wife loves the fact that the entire store is color coordinated. I don't particularly care, because I'm colorblind. There's a house inside the store that they use to sell furniture. I'm not making that up.5 out of 5
