“Great prices and good quality food as well. The checkout process is convoluted and annoying though. They throw all the items in a cart. Even glass items and stuff like bread so they can either break or get smooshed. Also make sure to bring your own bags if you can. If not you can buy some there. Also bring a quarter for the cart.”

“Small neighborhood store. I like coming here when I only need a few items. They have a fresh bakery and good hot foods selection. They make great stuffed cabbages here.”

“I give the selection great and pretty good for store of it's size. I will say freeing not seeing a seafood or bakery. Registers only problem you sometimes get 1 or 2 registers open and two self serve or self serve closed n only three registers open one being an express lane”

“not the place to do all your shopping but if it is absolutely more convenient to stop in here than somewhere else then it is worth it. No sushi and limited hot food.”

“Wow, missed out on shitake mushroom twice and knew it was just the my luck. Matt, helped me out by telling me to come back early the next day. He had some for me and handed me coupon for my coming back. This is an awesome store. Plus, awesome sales. Beef Fillet for 9.99 lb and snowcrab 6.99. Yeah great experience. ?”

“This stores the best friendliest people. Just wish there corporate care about them way they care about us. No stocker so cashier can stay up front and self checkouts down so only one cashier. But that's not stores fault cause noticed this in all DGs.”

“I had such a positive experience shopping here today. I have the habit of intentionally leaving my cart at the end of an aisle, parked out of the way, to avoid congestion. Well, today, during non-peak hours on a weekday, my cart went missing. I realize sometimes I DO forget where I leave it but I looked several aisles in each direction for naught. Seemingly looking perplexed, i made eye contact with a friendly employee and explained. I went on looking because maybe a clerk thought the cart was abandoned or maybe someone thought it was their cart. As I was about to give up and nearly resigned to start over (I was nearly finished with my shopping) here comes that friendly nice employee with my cart! He had found it clearly somewhere I had not left it. Haha. I get it. Somebody accidentally grabbed my cart and by the time they realized it, they left it where it was. But, oh, how nice not to have to start over. Adding to that? My cashier was extra pleasant asking about my day.. And topping it off? Another pleasant and smiling employee greeted me at my car and took my cart while offering pleasantries. Yeah, yeah, this isn't every day and I could complain about prices or a cashier's off days. Not today. Not here. Today was a stellar day and I am grateful. When someone smiles, ya smile back and that interaction lasts much longer than the moment.”

“Very convenient location with very nice cashiers. Good to play the lottery and pick up snacks and misc items. Parking lot close to door and level. Been going there for years. Always treated with kindness.”

“Nothing screams Pittsburgh like a trip to Giant Eagle. It has been and always will be one of my absolute favorite locally owned and operated grocery stores. From expertly prepared hot foods, to local favorites throughout the store, Giant Eagle offers Pittsburghers everything they need and more! During my lifetime I witnessed the metamorphosis of Giant Eagle. This particular location in West Mifflin was always homebase. I used to love renting movies and video games from Iggle Video while my mom shopped. The Giant Eagle brand food is always top notch. Very few stores can compare to their in-store brand quality. But when you're looking for name brand goods, Giant Eagle has them all, and for very reasonable prices. For my non-Pittsburgh friends, you may not understand this, but when I need some Sarris candy or Mrs. T's pierogies while I'm visiting my family in Western Pennsylvania, Giant Eagle is the place to land.”
