Deceptive.. not trustworthy practice. Pushed into being"transparent ' other wise it would be fraud. Still waiting to receive our 3 year/50,000 mile warranty! They the professionals told us the layman to drive our car even up to 1 year and that it was safe to do and it was fine... We had the car literally only one day while we were driving up a hill when the whole transmission became damaged and was completely damaged by their negligence! The car never ever should have been driven.. They are negelent for telling us to do so drive . It damaged our car... it broke down on a busy hill, rolling backwards.. it was dangerous and very scary... traumatic !! The repair cost was now $5500!! I think we were told to drive our car intentionally to raise the price of a repair. Plus they did not repair the battery issue! Shawn the owner when it came to us was very deceptive.. He even argued about them fixing the car saying we should have to pay for it all! No, this was their fault, they were negelent telling us it was safe and okay to drive when it wasn't. After arguing some more he then said let's split the bill, again no.. We didn't cause this problem they did! After all was said and done, we picked up the car and drove literally right down the road to petsmart.. parked ran in and got back out within 5 minutes and the car wouldn't start back up.. They never repaired the battery issue!! Not trustworthy.. Deceptive! We will sue them and file all necessary complaints against Shawn and his business. Don't walk but run from their business. Too many good honest reputable places to get your car fixed!

Honest, reliable work.Came as a recommendation from Yarnall's Garage, another honest mechanic in the area, and am very happy with the results.Took it here after dealership tried to scam me for a failed transmission and they took care of it properly.Best transmission repair shop in the area.

Jeff put a flywheel and clutch in my truck. When I left the shop, my truck was shaking and couldnt go past 64mph without almost exploding. Called Jeff 3 different times, dropped my car off 3 separate times and had to pull my own car after 5 days the 3rd time. Never do business here. This was all over 2-3 monthsService: Transmission

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Owner admitted he didn't properly look over the car before performing service because he could tell what was wrong just by glancing at the vehicle. Proceeded to charge me $1,300 to replace the rear main seal on my car which began leaking the same day he replaced it! (Picture shows leaking oil the day he gave it back). I took my car to the official Volkswagen dealership and they told me that West Chester Transmissions did a terrible job performing the service and caused my vehicle to leak oil from a variety of other seals and fittings. West Chester Transmissions told me they wouldn't give me my money back after ruining my vehicle. I now have to bring a civil suit against this business because they ruined my car. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY!Service: Transmission

Jeff is a stand up guy and knows transmissions. He replaced my front diff which was cracked. 3 weeks later I started to hear a weird noise. One guy rotated tires and another replaced a bearing which did nothing to solve the problem. Another shop said it was the new diff. Went back to Jeff and it was not his new differential at all. He spent time to figure it out after 3 people failed and didn't charge for time spent diagnosis when it didn't have anything to do with the diff. It was a different wheel bearing unrelated to his work. Which he then fixed. I should have gone back to him directly.

Great service and very reasonable prices. I have had them replace my transmission on my Honda odyssey and I am going to have my Acura mdx's transmission done also. Can't beat the service or prices.

I have used W. Chester Transmission 3 times now. twice for some work vans and once to basically rebuild my wife's 2002 Trans Am. The work vans had a very quick turn around, which is important when you customers backed up and the care that was put into my wife's car was so impressive, we actually tipped the mechanic. I have never tipped a mechanic. I highly recommend them.
