When did going to mail a letter become an experience worse than the dmv?

We submitted our son’s passport application in beginning of January. Mid of Feb we received letter saying the application has issue that we didn’t sign in front of the passport agent and need to resubmit the application. I don’t know what happened but there must be something that agent did wrong or gave the wrong instruction. When we come back to resubmit the document, the officer here said we need to reschedule an appointment to do so or resubmit the application from the beginning which means I need to pay another $135. there is no available spot within the time window that passport service requested! We have to try come early for the passport walk-in time! The passport agent did something wrong but they are punishing us to fix this issue. Unbelievable service! Don’t come to do passport application here! They don’t do there job right, and they will make trouble for you life!

Imagine a post office so inept they do not monitor closely something as important as having the necessary customs forms necessary to mail an international package. Its dumb for sure and as stated highly inept to not manage keeping a proper level of these forms as doing do is so very easy. There is only a handful of paper forms still used at the post office so when you get down to a few hundred it would be so easy to reorder them to ensure you always have ample supply on hand for your customers.Where the ineptitude morphs over to straight up poor customer service is once you run out (which is embarrassing and a failure of proper management of course) for 3 days you do not restock the supply and force customers to check in each day to see if the forms have arrived (since you cannot call them or they do not answer the phone) and be disappointed to learn they have not arrived. Also even more galling is knowing that it would merely take one employee or manager or postmaster to drive roughly 1 hour round trip to Philadelphia were I am assuming you could borrow a pack or 3 of these slips until your resupply shipment arrives. If you had done just that little bit you would have saved many customers from showing up to be hilariously told for 3 days that "Sorry we cannot ship any international parcels because we ran out of forms"You may be asking why anyone would continue to check each day if forms had arrived rather than go to another post office remember this is the only post office I know of in the whole county maintains hours until 7PM when you yourself work a 9-5 job.

Always a great experience at this post office. On a more specific encounter, today I had to get a passport and I followed the government website instructions to the best I could but I still got a few things wrong. The woman there was extremely helpful in getting everything sorted out and helping spur of the moment for us to get our photo when the ones we brought weren't good enough. She was very friendly through the whole thing. I also like how they're the only post office in the area open late, because I don't get off work until 6 on weekdays and I can always rely on it.

•So here we are in Chester County, one of the most prosperous counties in the state. In addition, West Chester is the county seat.•Went into the Airport Road P.O. for 100 Christmas stamps. There is no one (honest) at the front counter. This has happened before. Got in line- lady in front had 3 packages to mail. The passport line had 4 people, all of whom had been waiting since before I came in.•Young man finally comes out to wait on those in line. And I must say he was pleasant and had the patience of a Saint. After waiting on a few customers, he looks at the passport line and says, "We're not doing passports today. All appointments were cancelled. I guess you didn't get the email."•I finally get to the counter and knowing he's having a hard time, I say in my cheeriest voice, "Hi, I just need 100 religious Christmas stamps."He says (and this is Nov. 28) "We're all out. This is all we have."So that would be an American flag, a puppy with a big red heart and a colorful Pinata, none of which reflect our Christmas traditions.•And may I mention that at no time did I ever hear any sounds of activity or conversation in the cavernous back area. No wonder it takes 6 days for a birthday card to get from our mailbox to our neighbor's mailbox 25 feet away.•Here's my dumb Question: Who's office do we need to camp outside of to get West Chester, PA. a postal system that is better than some rural mountain village??

Expect to spend 45 min- 1 hour on completing even a simple task at this post office. Staff-wise, they are down to just one person. I always feel bad for that employee - it's a miserable situation.

If you come here, be prepared to wait. It took me 40 minutes to get through a line that had about 20 people in front of me. One cashier There were other employees wandering around looks like they were lost. And a supervisor trainee sat next to the only cashier the entire time. Won’t be back

This location has good bones but continuously falls short. There are four registers but 50% of the time there is one person servicing customers. I often go there and the line is 10 people deep and a 20 minute wait. Last time I was there, this couple behind me said "lets drive to Frazer they never have a line like this" and they left. Also, the package machines don't provide a paper receipt which for my purposes forces me to stand in line. Little old Downingtown USPS at least has 2 people working the registers most of the time. For shame airport road USPS. Staff better!

Always a line, kiosks generally non-functioning and currently standing here at 8:45a and it’s still closed when the sign outside and website says it opens at 8:30a.

Last time going here.I wanted to mail a package to my friend in Canada and I don't often send out of country items. The service was ridiculous I literally was grunted to by one man about how to fill out the customs form and when I wanted to check, he gave me to someone else. Then the other idiot couldn't find out why he couldn't enter the postal code and never told me I'd forgotten to write Canada because yeah...I took the package back and will be going elsewhere. Took unbelievably long too. Their attitudes are just foul and make me nervous

Had a quick and pleasant experience at this location. I was going to send documents out through certified mail. I worked with Spencer who was very courteous and knowledgeable. He helped me send my letter out via priority mail for a small additional fee which helped me ensure that the letter arrived timely and I was able to track it. The documents were time sensitive so this helped me ensure their timely delivery. I would recommend this location. Thanks Spencer!

I don’t like it here or the mail driver she’s always getting smart she don’t want to hand you the mail she make you wait until till she get to the door sometimes I don’t get my mail until the next day and she’ll be on my block, and then pulls off she’s always on the phone she sits in her car for hours talking on phone too I am very disappointed. I’ve been living on my neighborhood for 65 years. Sometimes my bills are late then I have to pay the late fee.
