I refferred my dearest friend to Harry. I thought the estimate was crazy and Harry could help,He saved them about 1200$
On a $3000 estimate they had at their normal shop that they used for 20 years .That was 1 year ago. Still running great!.

Harry replaced my battery without providing me an inspection results list first and became aggressive when I inquired the reason for replacing the battery. Given this was an extra cost on top of the repairs I did anticipate, I asked a question to understand the diagnosis on my car and instead Harry became very defensive stating that he was honest. Sandi was very rude and unprofessional. People who are honest don’t need to convince you they are honest; and those who are experts in an industry will help a novice to understand. I dropped my car off Tuesday and when I called on Friday afternoon to check-in — Sandi said she was going to begin to write up the report and that a new battery had already been installed. I sought legal advice whom said this process is very unethical. Harry offered to take out the new battery and return my old battery in a very belittling manner. Very gang like environment and you cannot ask questions to understand; if you do they will point out that they aren’t accepting new customers anyway and make you feel extremely uncomfortable. If you were not accepting new customers, then make that clear upfront. Will not return.

While the pricing of the services are fair and the turn around time is well above the average of any automotive repair shop in the area, I would not recommend taking your vehicle here.In the beginning of May, I had my Volkswagen serviced for regular routine maintenance and was told I needed the control arms replaced. I found this to be odd given I had them replaced 25,000 miles prior to this and never noticed any symptoms of them going bad. Although, I figured it was from severe wear from most of the PA roads. No big deal.I picked my VW up and within 24 hours noticed an unsettling noise coming from the suspension, a creaking and jolting noise that I have never heard prior of their service. I then took it back a few days later to be told the front struts needed to be replaced. Another head scratcher given the car had been in their possession for days and somehow this wasn't noticed when they were working on the car, especially in that particular area in the front end?After I picked my car up for a second time, I knew immediately something was off. The "free alignment" that they performed was terribly out of line. Vibrations like no other, pulling, etc. I drive this car almost 150 miles a day and knew this was not the way I had dropped it off, in fact it was worse.I took the car back yet again, simply asking for the alignment to be redone. "Well, it's not a Porsche" was what I was told after questioning the thousands of dollars of work that was performed on my car. It may not be, but it is still the vehicle I spent a decent amount on to make sure it was up to date with all preventative maintenance. Harry drove the car with me and took the time to explain how the alignment that he performed was done correctly and there was nothing he could do. While this was a sincere gesture, I believe any other mechanic would've checked their work to be sure, which is what should have been done. What he was telling me didn't feel right at all given the car was literally pulling to the one side severely and it was not doing this when I dropped it off.Fast forward, I took the car to Volkswagen where I needed to pay $160 for something that I was told was already done at Harry Tillman. The VW Tech said the alignment was so out of whack that it was a moving hazard on the road. The car now drives significantly better with no alignment issues after being serviced at the dealer.I think this issue could've easily been resolved by them redoing the alignment, which is what I had requested originally when I brought the car back for the third time. Instead I was told it was fine (when it clear as day wasn't) and ended up having to pay almost 200 dollars at a dealer to fix their carelessness. While it didn’t break the bank, it’s the principle of the matter.

Tillman’s is the only place I’ll take my cars. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great place to have their car serviced right the first time. Everyone there is professional but yet personable. Prices are much less than at local dealers. Plus they only perform the work that is needed - in other words, they don’t look for items to raise your cost of service. I even get warnings on items to keep an eye out for that will likely need servicing the next time I’m in. Can’t say enough good things about them. Guaranteed you’ll love them too.

Tillman's is always honest and provides top quality work. Issues are figured out quickly and always fixed from the first visit at a reasonable amount. I have been taking my car here for years and will continue to do so.
