This is my family's site; I am not objective, but stepping on the property transports you to your happy place. I am so blessed.

I had a disheartening experience at Greystone Hall today that moved me to tears. I'm actively involved in organizing events for a group of over 850 families of local school children. The idea I had was a Christmas caroling event at a 55+ community followed by a festive gathering with our children and the residents. I spoke to a friend of mine who offered to help plan the event who resides in the Greystone neighborhood (my neighborhood is across the street from Greystone). She suggested we carol around the Woodlands, Greystone's 55+ community. Given its closeness and my familiarity with some elderly residents there, it struck me as a fantastic idea.In search of an ideal venue for the subsequent Christmas party, Greystone Hall seemed like the perfect fit due to its enchanting Victorian setting and its proximity to the Woodlands. While their website mentioned they weren't currently taking reservations for tours, Google reviews showed that they have open houses every Sunday from 11 am-1 pm. I was driving back to my house around 1:15 pm on Sunday Sept 10th, and thought I’d stop by in hopes that someone from the open house might still be available for queries. When I arrived, I saw a few cars in the parking lot and a couple of people were parking and walking in. I thought “great, I’m not too late!” I parked and walked up to the manor. The door was wide open. Inside the door was a welcoming table with play bills for the theater show “The Manor” which was set to start at 2pm. I thought “great, that is just enough time to tour the property and speak with someone about my event.”An elderly woman approached me and offered her assistance. When I told her I was an event planner, she said “wait here, let me get our head of events.” I waited and then an older gentleman approached and asked me to follow him. He then briskly led me outside and, quite confrontationally, informed me that this was a private property and I was not welcome. His tone, posture and temperament were as if had committed (or planned to commit) a crime and he was incredibly angry about it. I tried explaining my intent of organizing a Christmas event for the Greystone community, but he seemed skeptical. He asked me if I was working with a woman who is apparently the head of the neighborhood's HOA and when I didn’t know her name, he seemed convinced that he had proven me a liar.I attempted to salvage the situation asking a few questions about event spaces, which he immediately dismissed and directed me to the website and departed in a huff. I held myself together but as I walked away to my car, I ended up in tears and just generally in shock from the way I was treated. For those contemplating Greystone Hall as a venue, here's a brief overview: While undeniably picturesque, the property shows signs of age and emanates a distinct odor – like pee or mold. It's imperative to understand that it is a PRIVATE residence, seemingly managed by an individual who doesn’t know how to treat people and with limited patience for unexpected visitors. Access entails traveling through the Greystone neighborhood and taking a long rough gravel road which passes a dilapidated barn. And based on my experience, unscheduled visits, even shortly before or after events open to the public, aren't welcomed. My intention was simple – gather information for an event, yet I was treated like a criminal. I hope sharing this review brings awareness to future visitors.

What an absolute amazing venue! Incredible staff and service had a blast at my wedding. My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better than you and Faymus Media was our wedding photographer. The good thing is my photographer. Corey had been here. Many times I knew the area perfectly.

I have photographed a few hundred weddings, and Greystone Hall was one that was on my "Dream Venue" lists. It did not disappoint at all! The grounds were so stunning and well curated. It set the stage for a dreamy, elegant and romantic wedding.I had the privilege of photographing Tori and Anthony's wedding last fall and had such a wonderful time there. Like i mentioned, the stage is set for some amazing backdrops. The diversity for locations to photograph couples is so vast! Every few minutes we moved to another location and it felt like a completely different scene! The catering and staff were all wonderful and took care of the guests so well!

Rude maintenance man. We paid a lot of money to come here and were disrespected by him. He did not tell us where to park and told us, “just follow the crowd once the wedding starts”. We are the wedding family, the crowd is supposed to be behind us! He then walked away in a rude manner instead of welcoming us. We paid to be here and expect to be treated with respect. Won’t be booking here again.

This is a private home, in the midst of a housing subdivision, on an unpaved road, & was not easy to find using the address. If you’re from another state, plan to find it before going there in a hurry, and make sure you know where to park before hand. When I asked about parking; the attendant said come back when the crowd arrives & follow them. Very disappointed. Won’t consider for a venue.

A premiere Wedding venue to hold your Wedding or a Private Party at. A must see property.

While the lack of sufficient bathrooms is to 'preserve historical integrity' there needs to be an outbuilding of some kind to provide for the large number of guests. The atmosphere is very nice, with a comfortable last century styling.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous and has so many unique spots to explore. Our ceremony was held outside, and thankfully the weather was kind to us (they provide an indoor back-up plan). Elizabeth and Crystal helped go through the day of plans and preparations, and we are so thankful for all of their help and guidance! We had an absolutely wonderful wedding day and we are so thankful for everyone at Greystone who made it so special.

This place was highly rated and recommended so I don't know what has happened since but if you are looking for a place that is pristine in presentation for your wedding and attention to details this is not it...the curtains are dirty and dingy and hanging off the rods, stairs were not sweep off, empty planters around that could have held some mums for the season, atrium was in disarray....side hall just had folding tables with no welcoming feel....and there was no one, whom Elizabeth should have taken charge, in leading guests as they entered for direction, guest towels ran out in the two only bathrooms and were not replenished....the mansion is gorgeous but the upkeep and presentation very dismal....and lastly, when asked questions, Elizabeth's temperament was less than what one would expect from such a highly recommended venue....

We had our wedding at Greystone! It's the most beautiful and perfect venue! We had the time of our lives! Everything was gorgeous and seamless, and our guests weee overwhelmed by the beauty of the building and grounds! Elizabeth was a dre to work with. Very honest and upfront and helpful! The night far exceeded our expectations! Though it's a little more work to host at venues like this to arrange everything it was well worth it. It sounds overwhelming to have to take everything home the night of the wedding but the staff packed everything and put it in the car while we obliviously danced the night away! I just Wish I that I could have more days at Greystone... it's a dream venue
