The line today legit went around the entire front of the store. The entire check out area was one huge line that went all the way from the beginning of the frozen section all the way to the produce area. I waited for over 30 minutes. Not one manager or staff member tried to direct people on what line to go to. There were four staff members on their phones working at Starbucks and the customer service desk which were practically empty. Absolute worst experience of my life —this only happened once when Covid started and everyone was stocking up on groceries. There is no excuse for it on a normal Sunday. Management messed up badly today—your staff probably hate working for a manager who doesn’t care.

Hire more cashiers and store staff, and pay them well. The “innovation” of having no employees in the aisles to help customers find what they’re looking for, then asking them to ring themselves up when they check out is grossly overused in this store. You need to hire people, and if you’re worried that their wages will cut into your bottom line, here’s a useful observation: you’re losing just as much in shrink. I frequently see frustrated customers struggling to ring up their groceries with your antiquated self-service registers, and when they get tired or embarrassed because no one can find the head cashier, they steal from you-probably just to keep the line moving. It took my wife and me 20 minutes to self-check out today, and there were four unhappy looking customers stuck behind us, which is irritating to everyone! We waited about two minutes for the head cashier to clear an error, and I don’t blame her. I blame Giant because this woman was overwhelmed by the number of other registers that were also requiring assistance. This is an easy issue to fix. Worry less about your payroll, hire more people, and do it for your customers.

Be careful buying steaks and pay attention to the prices charged. as they marked these down because they were about to expire, they increase the “original” price so the discount is not the full amount.

If I could give zero stars I would. I just spent half an hour shopping in their store and after I put everything on the belt the cashier says "oh just so you know our internet is down and we're not accepting debit cards." I said someone should've been up front telling people, I just wasted my time. I go to customer service and they had to run the lady in front of me card as credit. I said is this all Giant or only this one? She said I can't answer that all I know is this one the internet is down. I said someone should be up front telling people this. Both her and the cashier just blank stared at me when I said that. I left my full cart and walked out of the store. This is the second giant that I have had problems with and I'm switching stores. I used to work for Giant and if I treated customers this way I would've been fired. Such lackluster attitudes.

I had brought a participant to this Giant so they may learn to do independent grocery shopping. An employee must have been preparing for their break. They had their headphones in and seemed to disregard the customers around them as they moved past everyone to collect his items.
I noticed my participant was hesitant to move forward again as the employee marched in front of them with no warning, remarks, or acknowledgment.
When I assured my participant it was fine to keep moving again, the employee pulled an earbud out and spun around. They seemed confused and confrontational. They asked if we "said something to them?"
I tried smiling as I explained. I was assuring my participant it was fine to start walking again. He smugly shoved his earbud back into his ear and walked off without another word.
It pissed me off the more I thought about it, but he could have been generally confused. It just felt like poor customer service when you see an employee walking around with an attitude.

The store is spacious, most everyone working there is friendly. Prices are ok, but, not as good as ShopRite in Wilmington, DE
If I have the time, I will go to ShopRite. Giant is ok. In a pinch.

It is a bit expensive market chain but you can find all the products you are looking for. I would like to especially thank the staff at the pharmacy, they took great care of my son.
