Gave our new fur baby a new home from here. They seem to care for their dogs and cats. Volunteered here a couple of weeks ago (VTO) and the place seems very well run.

This is the second fur baby that has adopted me at BVSPCA. The kennels are clean, the dogs look well taken care of, and the staff is amazing! From the front desk on, everyone is super friendly. This statement is qualified by how excited the pups get to see staff members. Great job everyone!

I have been to many many animals shelters and never haven't seen one that has such involvement with the animals. They have a large area where dogs can play in an enclosed area, they have agility courses, an outdoor community for wild cats so dogs also become familiar with cats and even have playtime for the pups to socialize with one another. They did have an overwhelming number dogs mainly pittie mixes but not all
The workers too were all amazing.

Extremely wonderful experience at the West Chester Pennsylvania SPCA.
All staff from the lobby to the volunteers and kennel staff were amazing!!!
Supervisors, behaviorist and trainers very very kind, supportive and helpful!!
All expressed extreme patience and love for the animals that they are working with, and also great patience with me in the adoption process. I am very grateful for all of their help and support and wish everyone any more years of success and God‘s blessing in the work that they do.

I had the WORST experience with this shelter, and I honestly never want to adopt again because of this establishment. I adopted a dog in March, and was told the dog was a little "iffy" around other dogs, but mentioned nothing about aggression. As soon as we brought home the dog, and took him outside around other dogs we IMMEADIATLY knew this dog was very aggressive with other animals. We did our best with training. medication, vet visit etc. but the aggression towards other dogs never got better. The dog was then involved in a incident 6 months after we adopted him, where he bit another dog and was extremely aggressive in the altercation. We were told by our complex that the dog needed to leave. When we tried to return to the dog to the SPCA Brandywine, at first they said we can return him, and they would call to make an appointment for us to drop the dog back off. After a week of NO phone call, I had to call and they said the can no longer take him "due to his bite history". After all of this, now the dog now needs to be euthanized. Extremely horrible experience.

I adopted a kitten from here and I am very pleased with her and have grown to love her already. It's very busy, but orderly. Very good experience with adopting Pearly!

We got our dog neutered here. They did an awesome job and took very good care of him I'd definitely recommend.
