I love giving great reviews. I am a huge fan of fabulous customer service. I feel obligated to rate an experience or a place poorly so other people don't have the same negative experience or so maybe the business or owners or employees take steps to improve. My point: I don't just write bad reviews; I write about the experiences I have with my kids in our town. And, since I was born, raised and currently live in West Chester, I do not think I need to hide the fact that I do not frequent the 7-11 on High Street. To be honest, I think it is disgusting. I have only gone inside a few times, but those times were enough to not return. Plus, I'm a Wawa girl—why do I need to go to 7-11?
For anyone who knows me, you know that my kids and I try new things all the time. For 38 years, I longed to be adventurous; now that I'm a mom and the only parent, I love doing all these things I dreamed about before—with my kids. They are my everything. My son saw a video a few months ago in which these kids got Slurpees so he wanted to try one...I didn't even realize the old A Plus on West Chester Pike became a 7-11. Of course, I am also a Paoli Pike fan after so many years of driving to Philly via West Chester Pike...light after light after light. But it was a heckofalot easier than the Schuylkill...iykyk! There's way too much aggression on WC Pike. In my opinion, of course!
So we made the trek to the faraway 7-11 a few weeks ago. And that was a wrap on the great Slurpee adventure until July 11. So I have known about and talked about 7/11 for most of my life...but never actually participated in it since the only 7-11 I ever frequented was in LBI when I was in middle school. Now that I have three little people to experience all these cool things with, we decided to partake in Slurpee Day. We placed on heading to the far one but decided to bite the bullet and go to the close one [read: Henry Danger's Nacho Ball reference]. Parking was typically terrible and annoying and smoke-filled. We entered and the gentleman behind the counter said: "Mama, it's over; it ended at 7 (it was almost 8)."
So, while I am a mother, I am normally not greeted by strangers as "Mama" upon entering a business. So I didn't think he was talking to me. But then he looked at me and repeated himself and then added: "No more free Slurpees. If you want one, you'll have to buy one."
At this point, we had only taken a few steps inside. We hadn't said a word about anything, let alone Slurpees. Needless to say, we left. I mean, come on...what was that?
Since I absolutely always prepare, I doublechecked this mystical 7/11 Day prior to venturing out: one small Slurpee per customer. Legit. Nowhere had I read that it ended at 7. I did not understand why that person decided to be mean to me, but I was not going to give his store our business or time. My son was not happy but my oldest daughter understood as she knows that Mommy acts on principles.
So we made the journey down Route 3 and were greeted with a display of Slurpee Day cups and signs and four quick and successful free Slurpees.
So, no thank you, High Street 7-11. Your customer service was unnecessarily awful. We won't be back even if it was 7/11/2025. All done with that adventure. I'll be greeted with a friendly smile by our High Street Wawa friends any day. They don't judge single moms for just trying to have a new experience.

Every time I come in here it’s different prices or it’s just a whole different price on the register. Taxes have nothing to do with this at all. Just went in today and got 4 cheesesteak rolls for 8 dollars. The app and sign says 2/$3 so where’s the 2 dollars extra coming from??

Bought Buffalo wings on Sunday afternoon, 5 pieces at $5 unfortunately they had gone bad. Thrown in the trash. Money wasted.

Worker made me put my pin into the card reader after trying to bypass it (as I do any other time I’ve gone) . Next day $200 was spent on my card and I didn’t spend money anywhere else. Crooks

Absolutely horrid. Employees are overbearingly rude. Dude isn’t even the right word I feel like I was treated with strong contempt.

An employee at the store cursed at me in foul language for walking out and not purchasing the items after the discount on the items were not vaild even that they still had the sign posted. Called in the next day to complain and the same employee picked up the phone accused me of lying and not to come back to the store again. Called a second time and this time got hold of the manager. Explained to him the situtation, left my phone number and name at his request for the promise of him calling me back to resolve the issue, the call never came. I wish I acted earlier and filed a complaint to the 7-11 corporation

The Philadelphia metro area peepers Wawa over 7-Eleven. Being from Long Island, where 7-Eleven is on every corner, I was thrilled to see this store. The store was clean and the coffee was hot and fresh.

This morning I got a bag of food only to have the staff wrongly pack it and putting soft bread items on the bottom and topping those items with 28oz gatorade bottles, thereby squishing soft bread items. Really? For the prices, I at least expect to get whole undamaged items. Too much to expect?
