I told the H&R tax preparer that we have union dues to be used for deducting. It was also on our W-2 papers for both my wife and I. He never used this info. Even after we told him, wrote a note, and being on our W-2s. He did an amendment after his error. We never got our money back from the state. So, we paid extra for the error, on top of the outlandish price that was charged!

I feel robbed. Without my permission in an attempt to find a payment option, they used my refund to cover the costs of their services after we discovered they can only take two forms of payment per transaction. When I explained that's not what I wanted to do, I was essentially told well it's gone, there's nothing else we can do about it. I would've been more than happy to use a credit & a debit card to cover to costs to ensure my refund was preserved as opposed to giving it to them for their services without my permission. They waived their $50 fee for using my refund in doing so, but that does not replace the $300+ refund I was shown to be getting. I don't know what's better, the $300+ I no longer will be receiving or the wasting the 1.5 hours of my time on all this when I could've been home spending my evening with my family. I will NEVER use H&R Block again.

Costs way more than $89. If you have more than a w2, get tax software and do it yourself. Very little bang for your Buck.

Been using the same HR Block branch for over 25 years. Was told I needed an extra form this year due to an investment transaction but they would work with me on additional fee. I don't feel a $214 increase from last year is reasonable or working with me.

fast friendly and courtous service is what you got when we had them handle our pay roll. They notify us when it is ready and someone can go pick up the pay roll. Great service with great people
