We had just started on a trip from Allentown, PA to Syracuse, NY when we heard an odd sound when driving highway speeds. Turned out a metal protective shield under the car had come loose a bit and the air and road bumps caused it to keep hitting the ground making a scary noise. The owner and mechanic working there assured us we could continue on our trip after he removed the now road damaged plate. He said it will need to be replaced, but didn't hesitate to help us with no wait to the point of crawling under the car right where we pulled in on the hot macadam. We asked what we owed him and he refused any payment and wished us well on our journey. He couldn't know how much this trip meant to us, but he literally saved us from having to turn back home. I can't say enough good things about him. If I lived closer, I would use his service station regularly!!
