HUMILIATED!!!!home burned down right before Christmas. We needed coats and warm clothes. I took the referral letter from red cross. There were not a lot of coats to choose from. But I found one for me and my husband and 2 cooking pans. I took them up to the cash register. I was told the only coats that fit us, were to nice. The man's coat was in the back by the cook wear. I was told the manager said to hold them until he priced them I had to pay $25.00 Already humbled to have to seek helpand they wouldn't donate them to me. The coat I found was a used columbia coat it was "too nice to give me" . So already humbled and embarrased to need help in the first place, I was made to feel even more humble when I was told the only two coats that would fit were to nice.. I wonder if the people who donate know that their otems are not used for people in need!!! But only to sale for profit. It was truly a humiliating experience.
