Like Forest Gump said, " Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." And while life is unpredictable and uncertain at times, we have the power to choose our chocolates at The Candy Kitchen.
*First visit in Waynesboro, enjoyed a day trip here while attending a conference in Gettysburg. After eating a delicious lunch at Sapporo's (across the street), we took a stroll along Main Street and the Candy Kitchen was a perfect stop for dessert. These have chocolate potato chips.
We were greeted by the sweet young lady behind the counter and she was patient with our many questions. Unfortunately nothing vegan here... however maybe this is something the owners may consider.
We were able to select two truffles and she packaged them in a cute, little gold box. It's the small things in life that I have learned to appreciate, even with all the other uncertainties. Thank you for bringing a smile to our faces ?.

I stumbled across this candy kitchen on one of my random weekend trips. I was walking through downtown Waynesboro & the chocolate caught my eye. This place has an incredible variety of chocolates at fairly reasonable prices. It is an expansive collection with a huge sugar free section as well. The lady working there was really nice & explained everything very well. This is a must stop for all chocolate lovers.

I grew up in Waynesboro and thus I grew up with the Candy Kitchen. I left the area long ago but always visit the Candy Kitchen when I am in town, as do all of my other friends who now live elsewhere. The chocolate has never wavered from Despina's original recipes and the results are of high quality. Their caramels are particularly good, including the habanero caramel and the dark chocolate sea salt. My son inherited my love of the Candy Kitchen and it's always the first on his list of things to do. He is on a first name basis with Mr. Mike, the owner and loves picking out treats from the shop. We always get several big boxes of chocolate to take back overseas with us - one to share with friends and one to keep for ourselves! The shop is in an old building and is beautifully maintained with gleaming wooden cabinets and a fireplace in the back. It's always decorated for Christmas with a mailbox that the kids can use to drop off their letters to Santa. It feels like stepping back in time. Go for the chocolate - and to be a part of a long-standing tradition.

The best, high quality, handmade chocolates you'll find around. Particularly fond of their dark chocolates, but they also have cordials and fudge as well. Not sure what to get? Consider the turtles, salted caramels, and the marshmallow chocolates in a 1lb box with some random others thrown in. You won't be disappointed, I promise.I regularly travel over 3 hours drive at least once per year just to get their candy, but they can also ship directly to your home if you can't make it to the store. Just give them a call and ask what's in stock today!

I go every month at least once for a box of chocolate, theres so many to to pick from! Price is a little high but I always recommend this place as my go-to for chocolate

I was gifted a box of chocolates from this candy shop and honestly? It's the best candy I've ever eaten (and I eat a LOT of candy). The milk chocolates are delicious, the dark chocolates are OUT of this WORLD. I was given an assortment, chosen by the clerk. And unlike many other candies, there wasn't one bad choice in the box. If you're in the area, I highly recommend a visit. Try not to eat every piece you buy in that first day!
