Beware Consigning here! Brought in a 116 piece set of antique dishes for consignment. Was NOT given a contract that apparently says you have 14 days to pick up your item or it “belongs to the shop”. Was not even told that verbally! Was not even given a courtesy call that my 14 days was up and the dishes would be taken off the selling shelves. Was told “That’s your responsibility. We are too busy to call customers”.
Where did my dishes go?! They never gave me a contract to sign. Conveniently, their copy of my contract is gone...
If this is the shop’s policy, make it well known. TELL the customer. And keep the contracts!

I have several blouses and dresses that I don't wear any more, all in excellent condition. I took them to the shop, and the employee there refused all of them, saying that they only accepted "designer labels". She suggested that I donate them to the Salvation Army. I plan to do that, but I did not appreciate the way she treated me. She was very arrogant and condescending.

Organized and well-priced items. The shop is well cared for, a sense of community. I love this place and the storefront window display is awesome.

This is a great shop! They have limited hours and since I'm not in that part of the state often, it took me months to finally get inside! It was worth the wait! The staff (or they might be volunteers) are always friendly and helpful. The items are displayed beautifully and everything is clean. It's fun to find something that you never knew you were looking for until you spot it!

Two great consignment ships, one for clothing and one for art, jewelry, fine china and glassware. Around the corner they also run the "Alley Door" shop with super low prices on clothes and household items.

FDC and I decided to pop in to the Neighborhood League Shops on a whim, as we were running errands. Why not? She especially wanted to check out the Alley Door, which she described as more "eclectic " than the furniture and clothing stores. We first went into the housewares and furniture store. The main floor has lots of cut glass and fine china pieces, jewelry and some art. A few lamps. Not a large space. Laid out well and clean. I headed to their basement, which had more everyday "home decor" items, some linens, small electrics, etc. I saw many lovely things, though nothing interesting enough to purchase. We then headed over to the Alley Door, which is around the corner. Despite it being almost noon in weekday, and a sign stating they open at 10, the store was dark and locked. Huh? We walk back to where we were and ask about this. They know nothing, they said, just that the cash box had not been collected. That's it. I imagine these stores are run by volunteers, and it's a good cause. I'm not sure I would make a special trip to shop there. When I'm in the area, I'd go again.

Currently, I am in-between sizes. The staff was very helpful and directed me to look in several locations of the store for potential clothing items for me. I left with two pair of upscale slacks and one very lovely fall sweater. Many top brand names in this little store. Be sure to check it out.
