I was a bit skeptical to book a massage at chain, but after my first appointment with Nicole, I joined their year program ? I’ve been getting massages for years and Nicole is the best massage therapist I’ve ever had! She’s incredible!

I walked out the other day at 11am after waiting for 45 minutes. I had a 10:30 facial appointment, which I showed up 15 minutes early to because that was my instructions. My therapist did not show up and I had no communication from the front desk until I asked what was going on, they said she would be there in 5 minutes (at 10:40) then they failed to give me any update for the next 20 minutes. I’m most disappointed that I’ve been a member for 7 years. No one ever called to apologize or make it right. I’m canceling my membership.

Ashley is the manager at Massage Envy at this location.I made an appointment for a deep tissue massage. The person who provided the service was not qualified to do a deep tissue massage. I requested a full credit for the massage service. Ashley agreed to do this. After going to another Massage Envy location near my home, I find out that in fact I was charged for the massage service. I am very upset that I was told that I would get a full credit but did not. I definitely would never go back to this loacation in Wayne, Pa. to get another massage. She said one thing and did not follow through with the credit. I have been a customer at Massage Envy for at least 10 years and never have I been treated this way.

Scam - no matter how it is cut, when you want to cancel, this is a scam. I tried to cancel at one of the open branches (Collegeville) but was told I had to do it at my home location - when I went, it was “temporarily closed” - which lasted for months. Reached out to corporate - response was “local franchisee will contact you - we cannot cancel your membership”. At this point, I’ve made two requests, one in writing and cannot get into my local branch. My VERY clear message was forwarded to the local owner - who instead of honoring the request, left me a voicemail to “call back to address any of my issues”. I don’t have any issues, I want to cancel the membership - and frankly, I don’t want any undocumented communications at this point. They continue to (attempt) to charge my card on file for 9 months now - which I dispute every time. Charging my card, leaving VMs and taking my time to dispute are forms of harassment. This is what you get when you sign up for a membership - as well as the inability to ever schedule a massage within 2 months notice.

I received a fantastic massage by Michael on 1/30. It was the first time I'd been to this location so I was a little tentative about the level of expertise. Michael provided an outstanding therapeutic massage. The gals at the front desk are friendly and professional. I even got a follow-up message to help me transfer my membership to this location. What a great welcome to Pennsylvania. Thank you so much, Michael, Melissa, and front desk staff.

Not always pleased with my experience here. Although, I have had some great therapists here the administrative aspect has lacked for some time. Note I have been going here for over 2 years. Before it was closed and recently reopened, I had issues with appointments and notifications. Last week I went back for the first time after it reopened I walked in the door, gave my name and the first thing out of the desk attendants mouth was, "I tried to call you and left messages?!?!" I knew what that meant... no therapist, no massage! Where is my inconvenience 50% - 100% day of charge back to me!??! I'm done with this location.

Zero stars would be more accurate. They have now canceled 5 consecutive appointments. Each one is a call to me about 2-3 hours before my scheduled time letting me the therapist had an emergency. I am sensitive to the possibility they are actual emergencies but when it happens each time it gets old. They then offer a different time at a different location and act like it is my fault when I can't make that work. Zero acknowledgement that I might work or have other items in my schedule. They barely even acknowledge that their cancelation is inconvenient for me. The dirty secret is that you shouldn't sign up for the membership. You're trapped. It is hard to schedule so you end up accumulating credits. They cancel with no accountability. Then if you want to pause them charging you since you accumulated too many credits you can't use the ones you have. In reality, the therapists are good people but the business itself is a scam. You are better off finding a small massage organization that just charges a little more but can't pull this stunt. I wish I did that myself and I would not have flushed $1500 in unused credits down the drain.

Worst experience of my life with any customer facing establishment, let alone a massage spa that's supposed to be promoting health. Its not a place where you expect to be abused, triggering a PTSD incident which impacted more than a week at work from disassociation, which led to more therapy and time away from work, still ongoing. It was my birthday too. Christine Winklevoss is an abusive owner with zero customer service skills. She is a threat to the Industry and has no place in it. She runs an abusive business, and either hires people who are like her, or she abuses and intimidates her staff leading to the mistreatment of customers. NO does NOT mean NO in this establishment. Staff are allowed to create their own polices and then use them against you later. The front desk supervisor "Annette" is a liar and fraud.. She and her "besties" at the front desk will bully, sneer, laugh, gaslight, snicker and harass you if you try and say no, or stand up for yourself. The LMT, Megan was rude, immature, (will waste time to delay the start of a massage), was manipulative, and her energy was uncomfortable to be around. It gets worse if you try and get help from someone else in the office. Be prepared for retaliation and more lies. After they file a false report with police to play the victim, they'll get full support from their boss/owner, Christine will will insult and gaslight you to protect her staffs abusing behaviors. She will even hide the video evidence showing proof (there's a camera in the lobby). She'll ignore it because she's "too busy" with better things to do than stick up for a customer who was egregiously wronged and mistreated. Christine also claims it's "too complicated" to pull up the videos. I've personally tested the Arlo camera before. It's as simple as simple gets. A kid in grade school could use it. An even more outrageous claim by someone who used to work for IBM. She just doesn't care about her customers. Feels more like a mob run "chop shop". My advice is to stay clear from any Massage Envy Christine is part of. She is running a scam and they do not tell the truth. Her supervisor, Annette, even had the nerve to try and charge extra to my credit card. After I disputed the charge and had them blocked, Christine calls me weeks later with some story about how my membership had been canceled. Yeah, it was Amex who canceled HER, because Amex knows how to take care of their customers, trusts their customers, and doesn't seek to destroy reputations without cause. They do all that and they aren't even a "spa" service. Go figure. I was a member at a Massage Envy for a couple years in another state. I brought in tons of money for them. Never had a single issue. I visited more than 1x a month. Often it was 1x per week. I would even buy gift cards for the holidays. My traumatic experience in Wayne has me regretting ever promoting this company. I'll never go back to a Massage Envy ever, simply because corporate has to know by now that Christine Winklevoss is bad for business, but yet she's representing the brand after so many years of very similar complaints and experiences. See for yourself on Yelp and other locations. The reviews left here don't make sense. Almost as though it's fabricated. I recommend Hand and Stone Massage chain. I've had no issues and you can cancel your membership anytime. Never bullied, never mistreated, no fraudulent charges. Another great place in Exton, Blue Buddha Massage. I agree this Massage Envy location is by far the worst location in the country, hands down. Every other person who said that is correct. Very sad considering the amount of traffic that comes through that very popular shopping center.

Joel is absolutely amazing, very professional, he had amazing pressure and communicates how you would like it. He has such a calming vibe during your massage and when the massage was over I felt rejuvenated and had an overjoyed sense of calmness and happiness. Thank you Joel, you definitely have a new client!
