Don Smith is a highly skilled and knowledgeable mechanic known for doing the job correctly, but his services are expensive. He openly states that budget conscious customers are not his target clientele. Watsontown supports local businesses, so Don works on the borough’s police and personal vehicles, allowing him to set prices. While he provides quality service, he can be blunt, as evidenced by his unnecessary remarks about not changing rotors during a brake job when they were not required. He charged significantly more than other mechanics for a simple visual inspection without emissions testing.

Don smith is very honest, very efficient and affordable. I came from New York for the weekend and I called Friday night explaining my situation and he got me right in Saturday morning. He was done when he said he would be done and was very nice and understanding with the situation! Don did my brakes for not only a great price but the car has never drove smoother! My brakes have no shimmy. He replaced all 4 brake pads & rotors for the best price around, and did quality precise work. He also was tedious with really cleaning up the brake area and wheel area before he put the rotors on. He even shined up my headlights! I have had my car fixed multiple times and I can honestly say Don has done the best work on my car and works meticulous to get the job done right the first time! Dave Smith's staff is wonderful, knowledgable and professional. From the minute I call to make an appointment, they are friendly and try very hard to get a service tech to our house as soon as possible.
