I left a BBB complaint because of what the company did. The complaint is as followsI recently went to this company in order to get recall work done on my car. I dropped the car off on the 25th of September. I was told dropping it off that the recall will take possibly 1 day but probably by the end of the same business day. I was told that night that it would be available “probably tomorrow”. This continued to happen around 5 times. At a certain point this week I asked when it would be done and I was told “Thursday no exceptions”. Guess what? There was an exception…I drove 45 minutes in order to pick up this car and had to drive back because of this. Then on Friday (yesterday, nearly 3 weeks since I dropped it off!) I was told guess what, my car won’t start. I was then quoted $600 to replace the starter. I attached the pictures of the text convo on this report. I know for a fact that this cars starter was fine. My mechanic friend came with me today to pick up the car because I told them this is outrageous and that I am not paying for something that was working fine when I dropped it off. I also knew that there’s about an 80% chance the car is completely fine and they are trying to scam me into service.I arrived this morning and guess what! My car started right up absolutely no problem! If you want a video of my car starting i am more then willing to send it. I cannot begin to explain how annoying it is to be lied too for 3 weeks about when your service is going to be completed only to have they jab you again with a false service the want to charge.I was also told that maybe the mechanics didn’t know that the car was Manuel therefor they thought the starter had an issue? I beg to argue that there is no way a trained mechanic could be that naive to forget to press the clutch petal in order to start the car. I cannot begin to explain the disgust I have with this business and would tell everyone to stay away from their service department.

This was the third purchase from Budd Baer and the experience’s keep getting better. Austin, who was my salesman, gave me all the information about the vehicle. He was never aggressive. He actually acted like he was a friend. From the beginning to financing, everyone at Budd Baer was very personable and professional. There was actually a small issue where Bryan Baer, who was on a family vacation, reached out to me about me concerns. Austin, Ashley, Rachel and Jennifer were fantastic. I would highly recommend Budd Baer and Mazda’s are a blast to drive.

I give this Dealership and it's employees a 10+. The Customer Service was outstanding by everyone involved in my sale. They were very attentive and worked with me to give me the best deal. I've been at a lot of dealerships and I've never been treated so well by any of them except Budd Baer. Thank you for making me happy with my new car. ;-)

If I could give zero stars, I would. The service department at this place is incompetent.We brought our CX-3 in for a well-known AC issue, were charged $205 for the tech to tell us we needed a new cabin filter. Service Advisor ‘Brandon’ was going to charge us an additional $71 for a cabin filter (we declined) that could be bought on Amazon for $10, now wanting $276 from us for an AC system that STILL wasn’t working correctly when we left their shop. That said, Service Advisor ‘Brandon’ admitted that the tech hadn’t even gotten around to looking under the hood once he noticed a dirty cabin filter - he never put any gauges on the lines or anything…are you kidding me? Brandon didn’t admit this until a few days later, AFTER collecting our $205 for doing absolutely nothing. Very unprofessional!Do yourself a favor and avoid the service department at Budd Baer Mazda. Go to an independent shop like we did, for HONEST quality service.RESPONSE to ‘OWNER’ comment below:If the “bag was the problem the first time” why did you send us home, telling us it was fixed when it wasn’t? In fact, on the way home the blower motor started making a noise it’s never made before while still blowing warm air, $205 later! Your guys never actually looked at anything beyond the glove compartment, what a joke. We now had a bigger problem than before we brought the vehicle into Budd Baer Mazda.

I purchased a 2023 CX-5 Premium today and it was a delightful experience! Shout out to Taylor who was my saleswoman and Rachel in the business office. You gals made my buying experience seamless and fun. Taylor was very knowledgeable about Mazda and it's rich history. Budd Baer has some of the best staff! Thanks again!!

I was kinda worried when I went to Budd Baer. I was welcomed when I got there and they helped me get into a price range I needed. I have to say that I am now a customer of them for life. Extra clean, very helpful and above and beyond what other dealers are like. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Our sales person , Michael, was great! 5 stars all the way for him…. After that, Budd Baer needs to get it together!!!! Went on a Friday, would have taken the car that day, but no financing person? weird.. so Michael said pick whatever time you want to come tomorrow and we will be ready for you! So 4 o’clock was our appointment time to pick up the car and do the paperwork.. we arrived at 3:54. The car we were buying was sitting outside, and Michael explained the finance girl had someone in there she was finishing up and we could go over the features of the car while we waited. By 4:30, we knew everything about the car. So now we go inside, and you can clearly see the finance girl is NOWHERE near being finished with those customers. At 5, the “boss” apologized and said if there is anything she can do please let her know and she’s so sorry we are having to wait. Now the dealership is closed, and we are still waiting. 5:30 rolls around, and the finance girl is STILL with those customers, and we say to Michael, “ just drive the car and the paperwork to us tomorrow”… he says let me call my boss. She says if they can just keep waiting I’ll throw in rubber floor mats. Okay, we wait. Now it 6:30- I’m literally fuming inside- our sales guy is trying not to come unglued- this was his Saturday night too!! Finally the other customers leave. I’m expecting the finance girl to call us into her office ASAP- nope!!!! She has to enter all the paperwork into her computer!!!!!!! OMG. Finally around 7, she calls us in.. doesn’t apologize but thanks us for being patient… then throws our sales guy under the bus!! “You shouldn’t have been scheduled a 4oclock appointment on a Saturday”. Really? She proceeds- had to call the boss not once but twice- the boss, who said to us if you need anything just let me know- was in giant Eagle shopping , helping her do her job. Unreal! We finally left at 8 o’clock!!! Have never in my life of all the cars we have bought, had such an experience. I’ve met so many savvy finance people, but this girl was NOT one of them.. ?

Very rude service department. Alyssa, who is evidently training was extremely rude and once her boss got on the phone, she was even more rude. I would highly advise taking your mazda elsewhere. (Update: maybe its Elissa, no need to lie. Mazda corporate has been made aware. Consider treating people nicer)
