Local (Pittsburgh) did a great job. Driver who transported our belongins took 18 days instead of 18 hours to deliver our goods, showed up at 8 at night and finished at 1:30 the next morning. Driver unloaded and loaded our stuff at least 3 times (not supposed to do that) and caused several thousands of dollars of damage.
When he did show up finally, it was in a Uhaul truck and trailer.

Allied is the best of the best! We’ve moved several times over the years both interstate and intrastate. This move from PA to VA was our best experience yet, and we’d only consider Allied going forward. Every person we worked with was professional, friendly, and responsive. Donna, our move coordinator, was always quick to answer any questions and we felt confident with Rick on load day and delivery day. Additionally, we paid for a few of our items to be packed, and everything was packed with great care. An all around fantastic company and wonderful move!

Allied is the best of the best! We’ve moved several times over the years both interstate and intrastate. This move from PA to VA was our best experience yet, and we’d only consider Allied going forward.Every person we worked with was professional, friendly, and responsive. Allied Van Lines was professional from the start. I contacted and researched several different types of moving options, including third party brokers and storage container companies. Other companies had me fill out my own inventory form, whereas Allied Van Lines actually filled out the inventory with me. (I was offered a virtual or in-person option and I chose virtual.) It was quick and easy, but because my items were reviewed by a moving professional, my inventory and quote were incredibly accurate. I didn’t end up paying any more than I was quoted since I had almost as many boxes and items to send as the gentleman estimated. The price was fair. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but it was on the lower end of all the quotes I had received. My items were expedited, and everything arrived in perfect condition. I did my own packing, but they loaded, shipped, and unloaded everything for me. When unloading, they had me check off the number for each box so that I knew all boxes were there. When I move again, I’ll definitely be choosing Allied.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a move. I wanted to make my move from Pittsburgh to Alabama as painless as possible, so I figured hiring full service movers to pack and unpack would be nice. I was quoted $10,000 for my 3 bedroom home to be transported. Other companies quoted me from $5,000-$7,500, but David (the estimator) was very nice and convincing that everything would go smoothly, so we splurged. 1. When the packers were packing my house up into boxes, the assistant packer spilled a whole bag of lentils in my basement. He never bothered to tell me and never bothered to clean it up. They also left empty tape rolls and box tops all over my house. They did not clean up after themselves. 2. The movers arrived the next day to load the van. There were four of them, two of them stood around and talked the whole time and barely moved anything. When they felt they had loaded everything, they hurried up and closed the van and didnt even bother to do a walk through to make sure everything was taken. They left two closets fully stocked and we had to throw away an ironing board, shoe racks, and figure out how to transport two bags of the clothing. 3. They advised me of a delivery window of 5 days that my stuff would be delivered and I would know the exact day about 3 days prior. They said the night before my delivery, my driver would contact me to let me know an estimated arrival time. We tried to reach the driver multiple times the entire day before up until 11 pm. I was told he would call by 9 pm. The coordinator tried to reach him multiple times and he wasn't responding to her as well. The next morning at 7 am, the driver texts me to tell me he will be there by 8 am. How unprofessional! He uses having a flat tire as an excuse to not responding the entire day prior. Communication is essential in this business. 4. We had paid for unpacking as well. They said they don't unpack and just put things out of the box and onto a countertop. No thanks! That's not unpacking. 5. Carol, the coordinator for the move, sent me a final price. Then she goes back and changes it to $1,000 more and charges my credit card. When I asked for a detailed invoice, she had to go to the billing department because there wasn't one made. Three days later and two followup emails requesting a detailed invoice later, she calls and asks if the movers unpacked my goods. When I said they didn't, she says invoice should be ready later that day. They sent the invoice the next day and just basically tweaked numbers to justify the amount they arbitrarily charged my credit card without running actual numbers. I sent an email to Carol after the initial packing disaster and she said she would send this to people help resolve the matter, never heard from anyone. I went with this company because of the positive reviews, but I urge others to go with small moving companies that actually care about the clients and not big corporations that don't quality control. I used Moto Movers the year prior from akron to Pittsburgh, and he was amazing, personable, and good. He was willing to do this move, but I thought let me try a bigger company. Learnt my lesson! Most traumatic move of my life, and we move every couple years for my husbands job.

Our experience with Allied was more than 5 stars if I could give it that. Roy and his crew were incredible. They were on time/early, communication was great, took a lot of time and care with our items, and just all around great to work with. My husband was in contact with David and Carol, who were always quick to respond. Thank you for all of your hard work, we appreciate it very much!
