I've been a loyal customer of Ace Sporting Goods for 20 years.. The employees are very knowledgeable & can help with all your hunting shooting & gun needs.. Just a side note.. They get very busy during certain times of the year & people just need to be patient.. You won't be disappointed when it's your turn to be helped out.. Again very professional employees.. Thanks again Ace Sporting Goods for everything over the years.. JK

I just want to say, the only reason I gave 2 stars is because the guy who actually showed me a few guns was very knowledgable and friendly.. I mean he showed me every feature I asked about..Then the bad: employees sitting there watching me shop, doing nothing while other people were clearly looking for customer service.. acting like it is a problem for me to ask to see and handle the guns.. I mean I probably have more knowledge of firearms than some of these guys and thats really not the point, but some of these guys just seem very assuming and pretentious, I mean it is really just an arrogant environment if you get the wrong employee anywhere near you in this place.. it's truly palpable..I checked out maybe 5 guns with the help of one of their few good employees and that's because the gentleman that helped me was genuinely showing me the things that I wanted to see.. and he showed absolutely no frustration or rush whatsoever.. probably some of the best customer service around on his part.Anyway, I am leaving this review to let Ace's know.. I ended up buying elsewhere.. and I would have spent it there if it wasnt for your other rude employees. There is just too much competition in the firearms business. You guys charge a premium price in exchange for your customer service.. you really think Im going to overpay just to support that? This has been a constant issue for years and it is all over your reviews..That guy that showed me the guns that day.. you should go get a job at a better gun shop. They don't deserve you.Hit or miss customer service.. overall, in my opinion, they dont appreciate business, and I would absolutely never sell/trade anything there. Their offers really are about 40% of resale value. Selling on Gunbroker gets you about 60%-80%, conservatively. All the bad reviews are accurate. I would buy elsewhere.. not what it used to be.

Ace is one of the OG gun stores in the Washington area. Been there since I was a kid, they can get busy and at times it's hard to get someone to help you at the counter, but they've always been very helpful. Don't expect the absolute lowest price, but they're reasonable. You're paying for knowledgeable professionals behind the counter. The selection is tremendous, they usually have 1 of what you're looking for. If you're in the area check em out.

If you are looking for about any type of gun this is your place. They have them all! Prices are ehh fair. Tons of ammo and gun accessories. Customer service is bad. It is very difficult to get someone to talk to. Even when there is 10 ppl working. Also selling/trading your guns is a big no no! They seem to always have an excuse to not want to buy or just make ridiculous low offers. They are just all about making the big $$! They don't want to really help unless you are spending the big $$! They put out a good ad on the radio that is about it. I would stick with you local mom and pop guns stores before going here! I know I definitely will be. It used to be a great store back in the day though.

I recently visited Ace Sporting Goods on the recommendation of 2 close friends to trade in (for purchase) a number of firearms which I acquired due to my fathers death on Fathers day. Being from out of State and not having the luxury of time to sell the guns privately, I opted for convenience to have Ace help us with the task of purchasing them, thinking it would worthwhile. After speaking briefly with someone in the store, I was asked what I wanted for the guns. - Not being the original purchaser of the firearms, or familiar with them as a whole, I told two gentlemen, that again, I am being completely vulnerable here, and could really use their help. I had only recently acquired them due to the death of my father on Fathers day and had the Certificate of death as proof. I also had my mother in tow, who would be the one to receive any monies, as I only wanted to help her with her finances by selling them.. That all being said, the gentlemen then stated that they would have their appraisers review what we had and let us know while we waited. When they returned, the chose to offer us money for the Remington's (a 30-06 and Single Barrel Shotgun) as well as a .22 Long Barrel Revolver. Not knowing the true fair market street value, and really trusting them to assist us under the circumstances, we agreed to their offer.. While waiting to be processed out, I then happened to look up on their wall behind the register and notices the same exact Remington rifles listed above also for sale, but (if anything), in slightly lower condition than ours at more than double the offering price to us. Needless to say, I know they need a window for mark up, but I personally feel that they took advantage of our vulnerability, trust in them and our situation by only offering us 40% of what is apparently true fair market value. Hopefully this will help someone else out there who finds themselves in a similar situation.-Wayne

Defy you to find a better gun store. Good service. Good prices. Lots in stock. And their "tech" guys is very good.

Huge selection, lots of good old stock which is what my husband loves. I saw a lot of accessories, including carry purses, in there, too. I can see why they're number 1.

Discriminates against Handicap! I stopped in today to shop for a new hand gun. The clerk told me I had to go out and move my vehicle because I was taking too many spaces. The parking lot was empty at the time, maybe 2 cars in it. He wanted me to park it down around back. I informed him I had bad knees and I couldn’t walk up that hill. He continued to insist I move my vehicle. Finally, I just left! I cannot recommend a business that harasses Disabled People. THE PARKING LOT WAS EMPTY!

I travel from Armstrong County down to Washington just to shop at Ace. I pass many FFLs on the way and though many are great, they don’t have the selection that Ace offers and they offer the same great service. If you are in there and know what you want or at least have an idea on what you want it’s an incredible experience and the staff couldn’t be friendlier

Lots of guns! No employee does anything to help. If your not spending big money or giving them your guns at a pittance of their value they will ignore you. Terrible place, been there many times! They quit being helpful when they opened this new store!

I think their radio advertisement is wrong, they dont pay top dollar for trades, matter of fact they dont pay any dollars, i have never seen a place not take 2 damn near brand new guns, especially when i was ready to buy a $1,100 handgun, i was told they have had “problems” with aero precision, i think dude is full of trash, deeply sorry I didn’t bring in a junk glock or smith and wesson, this store is garbage and so are the people working in it will never be back to that douche bag store
