Wonderful organization of caring people that has saved many area dogs that would otherwise have been put to death.

I joined this rescue as a volunteer after losing my dog last year. Being around others who care about pets helped me through the grieving process. I have fostered three dogs so far and adopted my newest family member through CAS. The organization takes animal welfare seriously and strives to be ethical and compassionate.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this rescue. We do foster for them and I've seen first hand how they go above and beyond for any dog in their care.
They take every step to ensure all pups go to the most loving homes.
As long as we are needed we will always be there right beside them to make sure each pup gets the loving home they deserve.

this is the worst rescue organization I have ever worked with. this past year they pulled a dog from the Trenton Animal Shelter claiming they had a foster home for her to go into; when in reality they did not. they were keeping her in a crate and medicating her to keep her there. I offered to foster her till they found another one and they refused my help, and then asked me not to contact them again. What kind of rescue group does that??? Also they have not updated their website in over a year and are claiming to be helping other Trenton shelter dogs, collecting donations for them.... but the dogs have been long gone!

Yvonne and Svetlana were wonderful in the adoption process. They are selfless in support of the animals in their care. The Greater Trenton area is fortunate to have this animal rescue resource available.

The worst rescue group I have encountered in my 20 + years in the rescue field. They pulled a dog from the Trenton Animal Shelter promising they had a foster. Instead they are keeping the dog sedated and in a crate for the last month even thought they have offers from numerous people to foster her. It appears to me thier main focus is collecting money for dogs they dont really help!

The response time was longer than the application form said it would be and I had to ask for a reply to my application. Also, they denied me based on a misunderstanding. The application asked one if I had returned an adopted animal and I said no. Because I had attempted to adopt a rescue who showed aggressive behavior towards my infant, I didn’t move forward with adopting the dog. They called me dishonest all based on formality. I’m upset that this has resulted in my application being denied. I’m only interested in saving a pet and I’ll find one to love somewhere else.

There are no proper words to fully convey the level of gratitude and appreciation I have for Yvonne and all the society members. I rescued Bentley less than a year ago, and totally took for granted every day I had with him, thinking I had all the time in the world. Aside from heart worms that were being treated he always had clean bills of health from his regular vet checkups. Until the unexpected happened, he suddenly fell ill, and he was diagnosed with lymphoma. My family was devastated, our world fell apart, and we were scared beyond belief. Being as I had been out of work due to health issues and having difficulty making ends meet it felt like a hopeless situation. Until the one night not too long after his diagnosis that I received a phone call that would change our lives. Yvonne had attended a function with the woman who ran the rescue where we adopted Bentley, had heard his story, and offered help through their organization, the Boris and Natasha fund, and fundraisers, and would cover the bulk of the cost of his chemotherapy treatment. Yvonne got us an oncology apppointment almost right away, and Bentley has been in treatment and continues to fight under the care of a wonderful treatment team, and every day we have with him is a blessing made possible only because of Yvonne and the Crossings Animal Society. Thank you for saving our little family, and for the chance to love him as long we are blessed to have him.

They do a lot to help animals in need and families who may need help with expensive treatment for their beloved pets.

CAS helped my brother and I when we took in a stray dog. Vet bills were paid and an amazing family was located who adopted "Barkley". CAS staff were responsive and their passion for helping animals is evident. I can't speak highly enough of this organization.

This last year, 2018, I have volunteered in efforts to raise funds for CAS. This was the first time I have participated in any not for profit organization and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. My family and myself have been animal lovers for years and we have experienced the challenges that owning animals can bring. To have CAS and the Boris and Natasha fund has truly been a blessing. The passion demonstrated by the Director and fellow volunteers ignited something in me I never knew was part of my character. I lost my beautiful girl Kate recently and CAS was there every step of the way in assisting me in both financial and emotional support. I am proud to support such a wonderful organization and I suggest anyone who is a lover of animals to support CAS efforts.

I have been feeding a stray cat for a few years and one day he came to my doorstep badly wounded. He had a fractured jaw, a neck wound, was infested with ticks and fleas and had been shot by a BB gun. I called the Crossings Animal Society and they agreed to help. They paid for his jaw surgery and other medical bills. He's a friendly cat and the Crossings Animal Society is currently looking to find him a home.
