I work in the E.M.S. field, I needed work equipment so I arrived and It was an uncomfortable and awkward experience . The salesman named ( I will partially spell his name ) prophe- was extremely cold and indifferent and forgot to give me a bag. No customer service core values displayed. Gas stations have better customer service.

Ordered timberland boots online from EMS. They somehow managed to send me the wrong size AND the wrong boot. Don’t waste you time with them and have to deal with the hassle of returning.

I just visited for the first time in a few years and I have to say it's so obvious why this place is shutting down. REI is kicking this chain in the a$$ and it's not hard to see why.First, they have signs outside that the store is closing and "ENTIRE STORE ON SALE!!". If you are familiar with the product, you can see everything has been priced higher than anywhere else, then they added a 10% off sale to it. From the outside you would think it was liquidation, but it's not. One or two signs even say "10-70% off". Nope. I went to just about every section and the most I saw was 30% and that was off of two items that are both basically useless.I was hoping to find some cycling gear at a price which was the reason for my visit. For the right price I would have purchased probably close to $800 worth of gear, but neither of the two employees were interested in helping me. They were hanging out doing literally nothing, then at one point both disappeared from the floor, then when one came back out he clearly saw me standing next to the bikes and chose to stay behind the counter. I waited about 10 minutes just to see if anyone approached me, nope. It's no wonder this business is in the ground. They had better things to do with their time, but that's okay. Because I have better places to spend my money.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience in the Warrington store. I signed up for rewards and spent several hundred dollars in purchases. I had $30 in reward dollars to spend in the store which I was told was good through July 10th. I was away on vacation and returned on July 10th to utilize my $30. The salesman told me the July 10th date I was was given as my expiration date was actually incorrect. July 10th is the 1st day the rewards are not good. My $30 expired on July 9th. In what world is an expiration date given to a customer AFTER the date you can actually use it? No remedy just oh well. So I lost $30 that I earned and was not allowed to use.

Made the mistake of coming here to buy camping gear. It’s really a boutique clothing store for TrailHeads.

They are having a store closing sale because they are moving. No info on where they are moving to. As of May 19, 2023 they were at 10% off most of the store. Some higher discounts on clothing

Have nothing against this particular store but EMS in general. Ordered a pair of sneakers for $50, were too small although my foot size has not changed. Even tho a "member", there is no free return shipping and it cost me $10.55 to ship back. An expensive transaction. No nearby stores for me.Of note, in the "contact us" link on website, the only way to communicate is by snail mail! No email or phone number. I will not buy from EMS again.

Could not reset password as a rewards member and had to order through customer service. It was closed on the weekends. I had to wait until Monday and they told me it was a problem they were having. It turned out I needed to return the item and it had to be by mail at my own expense. You may want to rethink purchasing items on line from Eastern Mountain Sports.

Some feedback for those who are gear shopping.Do NOT buy anything from Eastern mountain sports.Bought a pair of boots here instead of buying (much) cheaper online because they had a reputation for standing behind product, or so I thought.Wore them around the house - felt fine. First break in hike and they are killing my husband's toes, they are not wearable. We could barely finish our hike as he was limping along in so much pain.Even though these were in almost new condition - they have a single 10 mile hike on them- they refused to let us exchange them for a pair that did not cause him pain. We are out $200 on a pair of boots because this company does not stand behind their product. The people at the store told us that if the shoes are worn outside AT ALL they can't be returned - she did not have any helpful suggestions as to how we could simulate walking down a 1,400 foot mountain in our living room.Definitely will never buy anything here again!!

Every time I come here I’ve been helped by the most knowledgeable people. Alexis was especially amazing, she truly went above and beyond to make sure I had boots that fit me and my needs perfectly.
