I decided to try curbside pickup so this review is for that This was my first time doing a curbside pickup from anywhere and the process was amazingly easy! Samantha was my shopper and she let me know two items that were out of stock (which wasn't a big deal at all) and one that she substituted which I was fine with! I arrived at 6:30 and immediately someone came out after I called to let them know I was there. It took her no longer than 30 seconds to get all of my groceries in my car- WAY quicker than I could have done! I definitely recommend doing curbside pickup and don't forget to tip the amazing shoppers for all of the work they do!

Did the curbside pickup for groceries, so this review is for that process. I ordered food online and the site automatically set the Verona store as the delivery site. That was fine; I don't live too far from there. On the day of pickup I was texted by Mary Ann, who identified herself as my 'personal shopper'. She contacted me a few times thereafter to verify items, suggest alternatives when needed, and to make sure I had no issue with filet mignon steaks larger than normal (Larger filets? Bring it!). She also offered the opportunity to add items I might have not thought of earlier. My daughter had to pick up for me as I was in post-covid recovery (hence my online order). That was no issue, and she informed me the pickup process was seamless. The products I got, including produce, were perfect. The bill was actually less than originally totalled, surprisingly. I guess those filets were on sale? LOL Well done, Mary Ann and Verona Giant Eagle. Thank you for getting it right!

Worst f****** giant eagle. If the vegetables aren't covered in mold, their dry products are opened sitting on the shelf. Such a s*** hole.

We always feel so welcome here. We depend on this store. I always find fantastic meat deals in the low freezers in front of the meat section. (Unadvertised) I also find great pieces of filet and it's often better than Market District and always cheaper too. This is an excellent grocery store where everyone can shop!

Good Evening,I am a lifelong Giant Eagle customer. Among the reasons I shop exclusively at your stores, is that I have always had good experiences with your staff. They are usually very courteous and helpful. That brings me to the reason I am writing this comment. I had a terrible experience on Thursday afternoon (April 23). It was early afternoon, and this "experience" occurred at the Deli Counter. The employee in question (I later found out her name was Janet) was indescribably rude and unacceptable. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but she immediately presented an attitude of anger, frustration, impatience, and showed a profound lack of courtesy. She barked at me "Can I help you?" - I wish I could convey in this message the condescending tone, which would best be described as "bitchy." I asked for a pound of Genoa Salami. With the nastiest of tones, she asked "What brand sir?" (I didn't know there were multiple brands, I didn't know what they were called. So, I asked politely "Pardon me?" She repeated, in a raised voice and even nastier, "WHAT BRAND SIR?" The tone was so unbelievably condescending (indicative so obviously of someone who hates their job). I tried to remain composed, though she was already upsetting me. I asked, "What are my options. She quickly mumbled angrily, some unintelligible words, which I assume were brands of Genoa Salami.... She took no time to explain, she just miserably rattled off the words. Mind you, there was no line of people waiting that might have caused her lack of patience. There was zero hurry. By this point, she had made me feel stupid for not knowing what brand of Salami I wanted. Sadly, I lack her vast experience and storied career at the Deli Counter. Clearly, I needed to be educated on the finer nuances of Salami.Janet didn't seem at all interested in "Customer Service" - she appeared to me to be one of those people who just can't wait to be away from people and have her next smoke break, while complaining about how much she hates her dead end job.I digress, when I said "Give me the Italian one" - that was it for Janet. She repeated ever so much more NASTILY, "WHAT BRAND SIR?" Like I was a moron.By that point, I had definitely reached the end of my Janet rope. I replied, "Nevermind, I don't want anything from you. You're an a******** (Maybe not my most diplomatic moment, but certainly a true statement.) WAIT, it gets better. After, I had told Janet my true feelings about her, I was prepared to let it goJanet had other ideas and promptly returned my comment, saying..... and I quote..... "Yeah, well you're an a****** too" She then went on a tirade (in front of anyone in shouting distance) about "You don't call me f****** names under your mask"Despite Janet's disappointing and unforgivable lack of originality in her retort (there were so many other things she could call me, but her lack of imagination or maybe vocabulary caused her to use my word!), her complete loss of composure made me laugh heartily under my protective mask. When I was able to stop laughing AT Janet and most certainly not WITH Janet... I had reconsidered "letting it go"I informed Janet that I wanted to see her manager. She glared at me in disgust, and made the call for a manager.I had a brief, polite conversation with the young man who answered the call. After explaining all of this to him (he was great by the way), I asked him how to file a formal complaint about Janet.... And here we are.Everything about Janet's behavior SCREAMS - I should never be allowed in the presence of customers again. RUDE, IMPATIENT, RUSHED, TOO BUSY TO BE BOTHERED...... I could go on, and on, and on... with additional descriptive adjectives, but I am certain that I have conveyed how utterly disturbing Janet's behavior was. I certainly wouldn't want

This store needs to be shut down. It has poor inventory which is not rotated and a staff that is complacent at best and often rude. The store is often dirty looking and aisles are not spaced well. Most prime times there is one check out lane open the others being self serve. Even in the check out lane be prepared to bag your own groceries. Just shut this store down. The location in Verona is such a difference it's amazing it's the same chain.

The people who work here are great. Even my doctor has commented to me on how fast and efficient they are in responding and helping get all the necessary paperwork in order for insurance companies. Definitely enjoy stopping in. Can't always say that about when dealing with health care stuff.

I like this Giant Eagle for one reason and one reason only. It makes you work. It doesn't make things easy for you. The inside is a rather small setup, but it gives you what it needs. But what I think is best about this place is the pharmacy. You see, most people don't want to walk inside and like to use the pharmacy drive thru. Well, not here. You will still need to park. Instead of a drive thru pharmacy, they have a walk up pharmacy. The window is on the sidewalk. So, if you are already walking to the window, just take the little extra walk and go inside. It won't hurt you.

This place honestly really pissed me off it gave me bitter taste in my mouth so I go up to the cash register with all of my food and you would believe there wasn't even an eagle in the store let alone a giant one.

Wow! This is one of the nicest Giant Eagles in Pittsburgh! I was just in there to check out the "As Seen On TV" section and noticed the overwhelming variety of groceries. I get my favorite cigarettes from the nice girls at the tobacco counter. Freshest Pall Malls in the county! On my way out I usually grab a fresh chocolate milk and a Reese's Cup too..... don't tell my doctor!
