Visited Salon 3 times starting in May 2024. I requested a specific product be used in my hair, I reached out and confirmed she uses the product. Made the appointment and showed up on time. I sat & sat. Ok you can understand someone running behind but every customer and every visit NO. My color service was already a long process but when you change your work schedule or take off you didn't expect for the time to be wasted by someone else. 2nd service was a haircut, I sat for a while on that too. Now we get to 3rd service in June. I would have hoped that the product I requested was on deck.. nope the bag that it comes in was empty on the self in the salon and she proceeded to mix up some other bleach to use in my hair. If i wanted a product that gave me Quick Blue Bleach results I could have done that myself at home. Unacceptable. I requested Blonde Solutions a special product with toner in it. Never used it and on 3rd service as I am sitting in the salon waiting and waiting mind you took the day off. 3pm appointment, she texted and asked if I can come at 330..ok. I come at 345 because I already know. Still not ready for me and I sat for over an hr waiting. To get a product that I didn't ask for in my hair. My patience was super thin that day and I let her know it calmly and apologized. I felt it best to let her know why my energy was off on this visit as there was another issue internally and I advised her of my medical issue. 5 other people in shop and all sitting because she is backed up on the norm..why only she knows and needs to do better. No one wants to sit in a shop in 2024 from 3pm to 10 pm that's soneones shift at Walmart.
Also during the long wait time I had a phone conversation with my mom that I think some ear hustling was happening and probably didn't like what I said in a private phone conversation and that turned into a text a few days later telling me we not a good fit etc and she was absolutely right.
Truth was spoken and whatever she heard she didn't like it. Oh well do better. I kindly responded to her text and agreed graciously. Especially when I'm paying my hard earned coins ($150-200.00) & time for someone to disrespect it and be petty via social media Ok. We not a good fit and best wishes and God Bless. There are a gazillion salons in the world. Now I will find one with the product on deck in salon for paying customers who want it.
Style wise I was cool with the styles I left with twice but my color..always left with a toner that fades in one wash had she used the product i requested no toner needed. Its formulated into the product. You live and learn.
Wish the Salon all the best but truth will be told as customers have a right to know.

she refused to serve me after I made an appointment in advance because I wasn't black. she was rude, abrasive and threatened to find my workplace to get me fired for objecting to her behavior

I showed her a haircut and she did not replicate it at all. The style I did receive made me look elderly. I'm natural and she told me she had to perm my edges to achieve the style, making them weak. 0/10. Would not recommend.

Cheka is a wonderful stylist and also a wonderful person. She has awesome skills with cut and color. The shop atmosphere is very warm and friendly. She is very personable with both her young and older clients. She cares not only about your hair, but for you as a person.
