NO STARS!! I volunteered at “happy tails no kill shelter” from march to July 9th! They kept a little binder for probation and volunteers to sign in! However they didn’t vouche for my 88 hours of volunteer work! I called them and they were rude and threatened me after I begged them to pull their video footage of my daughters and I volunteering our time at this establishment! It was an 18 year old who told me I was a criminal and told me my 88 hours were not worth her calling her boss and then had the audacity to lie and say that the signatures that they copied herself were in fact FAKE which could cost me a few hundred dollars in fines for their lies! Although I shown them dates and photos on my phone showing my hours they still fought me and pretended as though they could t pull the video footage! This place isn’t a real shelter and for all of my own personal time and experience it’s something else going on! Very unprofessional and the kids who work there and were lot willing to go over the evidence and lied to cover their own mistakes is just disgusting period!

I adopted a cat here a couple months ago. After getting him home, he started to have severe nasal/respiratory issues. When I attempted to text and call the woman from the shelter, I found out she had blocked my phone number. This cat is still sick months later, and I am now up to my elbows in vet bills because this information was obviously withheld and then I was blocked.

My experience with Tara S. Tara she's very passionate about the animals that come in to her care. She helped make the process easier reassuring us that our beloved will be taken good care of and she was going to make sure she will go to a good home Tara keep me informed all the way it wasn't easy for us our other animals was not accepting of a large breed puppy I tried everything. I have much respect for this Animal Shelter and the great job they do. Thank you and God bless you all. Please Adopt. I'm glad to say is adopted!!

Please please please exercise extreme caution when considering adopting from this place. As a previous board member, I was so excited to be using my years of rescue experience to help this place open and run in the best way possible. But after seeing complete disregard for the welfare of the animals and the people there, I had to walk away, as have many, many, MANY people since. When I told the truth about what happened, the response was ad hominem ad nauseam - which would still be forgivable if the animals were receiving the best care, but they weren’t. Now and then, the animals in their care aren’t receiving proper medical or behavioral care. Furthermore, Happy Tails has managed to burn many bridges with vet options, meaning they now lack many if any. Therefore, animals now leaving the shelter aren’t properly vetted, and there is no follow-up protocol, so anyone planning to adopt from them should be prepared to pay for a potential slew of veterinary expenses. All of this said, the animals in their care still deserve love, and there are some people there who legitimately want the best, but toxicity comes from the top, and I urge people to be very careful when dealing with Happy Tails.
