They don't deliver mail if something needs signed for. I got a slip for a letter I had to sign for, stating I wasn't home, when in fact, I was in my livingroom and the mail person never knocked. Completely ridiculous.

I recently visited this post office again and feel like I need to address the fact that it kind of got worse since the last time I was there. The building is still a partial warehouse for whoever wants to rent out the rest of the building that the post office doesn't use. The hours are still crazy and inconvenient for use.I also want to address the other reviewer for this post office. At first I was going to let it slide as to what you had basically said in response to my review. But here we go. I thought maybe at first you were a resident for the area, like myself, but you're not. You live over an hour away.I know a post office does not need to pretty or luxurious. I grew up in a town where it was not, I'm not expecting that. But what I shouldn't have to put up with is the fact that you smell mildew when you walk in here. Possibly from the fact that it shares space in a WAREHOUSE.The staff, not friendly. Not sure who you interacted with in here, but they are never friendly. They are quite terse for that matter. They don't want much to do with customers. As for the line situation, I wasn't upset that there was a line. What I was upset with is the fact that there is no room in this space to form a line. So you have no idea who is next in line. Imagine that, narrow minded much? And to address again the location of this post office. It serves very few people in the immediate area. I live a mile from here and if I ever have a problem with a delivery I am sent to the downtown Johnstown branch to receive my packages, or anything else that is not delivered. So, DUH, it is in a rural area, and shouldn't even exist. Go back to Hollidaysburg will ya.

I enjoy going to the Tirehill post office. Kathy and Valerie are awesome Postmasters and treat you with kindness and knowledge. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Besides the Postmaster, the post office is extremely clean. Thank you ladies.

It's a POST OFFICE! It need not be pretty or luxurious. It does what a post office is supposed to. The staff is friendly and efficient. It's in a rural area. ... Duh. If you need a post office, try this one. Oh, by the way, lines sometime occur; other times no line. Imagine that!

Kathy does an amazing job and takes great care with each customer. She is friendly and knowledgeable. They are closed over lunch, which is a bit inconvenient, but I trust her to give me the right information. I will rearrange my schedule if I have a special package or if I need advice on getting a package to arrive on time because I can count on her.
