I had a fantastic stay at this Inn! The property may be small, but it offers all the basic amenities, and everything works perfectly. The true standout is the host, JR, who is an absolute gem. His dedication and hard work are what make this place run so smoothly. JR's warmth and helpfulness were evident from the moment we arrived, as he waited late to check us in and greeted us with a great smile. His commitment to providing excellent service is reflected in the positive reviews this place receives. Highly recommend staying here if you looking for quick stopover while visiting Allegheny national forest.
Rooms: Rooms are small but has everything to meet basic motel standards
Nearby activities: Hiring, walking and fishing

This is a great place to stay! You don’t get this kind of service with a large hotel! Owners were simple awesome and helpful. Our room was clean and bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was spotless!

God bless the man who runs this inn. My partner and I went looking for a camping spot in Allegheny when the weather turned bad-- It got dark and rainy and there were thousands of frogs on the road I didn't want to squish! Pulled in here and he is very familiar with the story, lots of lost campers like ourselves end up here. Price is extremely fair and the inn is one of the cutest I've ever seen. Above and beyond with amenities, directions, and overall hospitality. The rooms are comfortable too. Would love to stay again sometime.

I was traveling for work. I drive truck and needed a place for my 34 hour restart. I found this AMAZING GEM and was immediately attracted first, because of its price. Then I saw that it had some really good reviews. I booked through a booking service. Immediately someone contacted me via text. We texted back and forth. I later found out that I was communicating with the owner JR. I was thoroughly WOWED with the cleanliness, the attentiveness of the owner, and his phenomenal attributes of making sure customer service and accommodation was a top priority!!! Not only did he go out of his way to assure that my needs were met as well as the needs of his other guests, he even went as far as to drive me into town in his personal vehicle since mine was hooked up to a loaded trailer! This is the kind of small town charm and customer service that is missing in these big chains and why I personally will choose a small operation such as this! If you ever have the opportunity to book a stay at the Reststop Six Sixshooters Inn in Pennsylvania, I would recommend doing so! You will not be disappointed with the accommodations or with the beautiful scenery in this part of Pennsylvania!!!

The owner JR is the best inn keep you could ask for. We stay every year in hunting season. Easy to find along the highway(route 6) and it’s in the middle of the forest so there’s a lot to do in the area if you like the outdoors. He’ll be sure to recommend some great restaurants nearby when you check in too.

To be honest, when my husband and I looked at the room, we laughed out loud. It's tiny- think cruise ship cabin. HOWEVER, if you are on a tight budget I would highly recommend this place. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean, and we had everything we needed. JR is a true innkeeper, friendly and helpful. We asked for a room on the back side because of the traffic noise, and he was able to move us there. However, the traffic disappeared at about 10 pm so it was really not essential. If you are pinching pennies and need to be in this area, don't be afraid- go for it!

Everything was going so good because this was my 3rd time staying at this place the rooms are small but affordable until I found out that the property owner was going into my room while I was at work when I repeatedly asked him not to go into my unit because I had personal things in there. I left the lights on and ac unit on when I got back to my unit all of these things were cut off. I texted him and told him how upset I was about him entering my unit and invading my privacy I paid for this room so why are you entering into my room looking around, he never responded to my text.. I can see if you came to empty out the trash or bring new towels at lest clean then I would have been like okay he’s doing his job but none of that was done. I also left 2 days early and when I asked for a refund he did not give it to me instead he gave me a 2 day credit if I decided to come back to stay with him.

I'm an over the road truck driver and a few times a month I need to spend a night or two at a hotel/motel. It can get pricey so finding a place that's convenient, inexpensive and clean can be quite challenging. I came across Rest Stop 6 Inn and convenient, inexpensive and clean is what I got. The owner, J.R., was very friendly and accommodating. They have 5 rooms in the front and 5 rooms in the back and I do believe they're remodeling. I will definitely stay at the Rest Stop 6 Inn next time I'm in need of a place to stay in the area. ⁃ John

It's a pretty small place but for the money the owner has gone above and beyond to make you not only comfortable but have comforts that most hotels will not offer. Hes got real house linen towels, and super comfortable beds and linens on the bed. Full size Kureg coffee machine. For the value, it's a really comfortable place to spend the night is and leave early in the morning.Food & drinks: The owner gives a personalized tour and let you know that there's a restaurant across the street and several restaurants a couple miles up the road.

Excellent non-chain budget motel near the national forest. Good, affordable food across the road as well. Stayed here overnight on a motorcycle trip and it was perfect. Room was clean and had everything we needed. It's a bit campy and dated but that's part of the charm (along with the price) in getting away from the Comfort Inns of the world.
