The CO-OP staff is wonderful. They are kind and courteous people that are always ready to help you. The CO-OP has really nice fresh vegetables and fruits that are often organic and local products and a great selection of breads. My favorites are their fresh made sandwiches and soup. Try shopping or having lunch/dinner at the Swarthmore CO-OP. You will love it.

I buy all spices at the coop and sometimes the cheeses. The Coop saved me during the pandemia: bought for me and took groceries out to my car for pickup.Great service. One of my zen spots.

Small but big enough. Good mixture of organic and popular brands. Great produce and a good assortment of already cooked foods perfect for dinner tonight. Charging for EVs right next door = bonus points

We love it here! This is our go to for fresh, local groceries. They also have delicious pre-made food including sandwiches, sushi, poke, and much more. Everyone there is so friendly too!

Caters to the tastes of the community it serves. So nice to not have to enter a giant store for a couple of things. Lovely service.

For a community-owned place, the Swarthmore Co-Op is definitely NOT community-friendly. While, initially, stepping in, this place seemed like a cute neighborhood food market that offered produce, ready-to-eat items, bottled and packaged items, and even a sandwich/sushi section, the staff here are just extremely rude and discriminatory. It is blatantly clear that they serve a specific group of individuals, especially at the check-out line, regardless if you were there first. The tone used by the staff is also pretty disgusting. No, thanks, Swarthmore Co-Op - you should really consider renaming your place, since the idea of 'community' is nowhere near your mission or even believed by your staff. +discriminatory +NOT a community market

Great place to pick up small and last minute items. Let me say I love this place for location and conscience after getting off train. Has great selection for bread, produce, general, meats ($$$) and some speciality items (cheese, etc.) but prices are off the charts. Also has great deli for sandwiches and pre made meals ($$) and salads, deserts ($$), wine and beer ($$$). I want to shop here more often for convience factor and supporting the community but the cost is prohibitive. Most if not all items are approx 25-40% (+/-) more (depending on item) than other chain markets-things I regularly buy at other stores. I have never picked up an item without being shocked and or dismayed by the price. Do not know if there are ever "sale" prices, have not seen any to date. Just have to balance convenience vs. affordability/price. There is a co-op membership but does not offer a discount for membership. It is crowded at times with college students and local residents on weekends. Has a inside and outside patio tables for eating or meeting friends.
