“I had a leak in my transmission cooling lines that also runs through the main radiator. Was at a different mechanic that quoted me an eye-popping $1500+ to replace the whole radiator which apparently involved removing the front bump, discharging the A/C to move it to do the radiator replacement plus new hose lines. So I thanked them and paid them $120 for the diagnostics. I went to Allen's and they did a simple hose replacement that works. Parts and labor was $80. Will it be a long term fix; time will tell.I was coming from the Binghamton area so very much worth the short trip over the border. There was an old guy in the Binghamton area right near 81 interchange named Joe Hickey that had a shop, long since retired but Joe was was honest to a fault. Allen's reminds me of Joe. Great to know there are people who can get off the script and come up with creative solutions.”
“I hit and ran over a skid steer tire on a dark road in Montrose which damaged my engine carriage. My insurance company wanted them to repair it (not safe!), these guys were really looking out for us and insisted on a new adjuster who would listen to reason and let them order a new one. They did an outstanding job repairing my baby! I’m so pleased! I thought for sure my car would never drive a straight line again but it drives like a dream. They not only do a great job, but they do it the right way with safety in mind. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I highly recommend these guys!”
“Cosmellos it's a pretty good junkyard they're very nice and decent kind there they had the parts I needed as much better than Gary's U-Pull-It the guy that got someone else selection of good cars there but otherwise is the prices are pretty pretty reasonable I got a brake booster and master cylinder for $20 and I don't think I'm going to get that that cheap anywhere else and the owner is very decent kind and I believe that has like you all sure cuz all down there and check him out he may not have the parts you need but but they know what they have thank you”
