?I have friends that their kids used to go to the CAIU. But now they’re back at their own school district where they’re much happier. That’s all I’m allowed to say on this matter.

Their staff is and has always been very inconsistent with their quality of education and help for students and clients. I had horrible experiences with the caiu myself as a child 10 to 20 years ago and now as a parent to a disabled child I'm finding them to be extremely unhelpful. Staff will pretend to be giving kids speech therapy when they can't even pronounce the child's name properly, their bus driver randomly kidnapped my kid on the way home from their preschool program, and when we switch to a different program they gave us the wrong drop off and pick up time before we started. They're unreliable and frankly don't seem safe.

The CAIU is a great organization. They provide a variety of services for students and families in the Harrisburg region. They also provide professional development, consultation and technology services for school districts throughout the region.

SUBSTANDARD. I walked out on my daughter's CAIU evaluation because of how absurd the "evaluator" behaved. I would never recommend anyone sending their child here and, based upon conversations I have had with other parents, I know I am not alone.
