I had a very unpleasant first experience at this place. As a 29 year old I would expect to be allowed to purchase beer while I am with someone under 21. During my checkout the cashier insisted on requesting the ID of the person who I was shopping with. She went as far as to make her get her ID from the car. I understand doing your job and requesting my ID as the one making the purchase, but to deny me my purchase if the person I am with cannot provide ID is laughable. Imagine a scenario where a 29 year old man cannot buy himself a case of beer Becuase his underage daughter is in the store with him and obviously cannot provide ID. This is the same situation. She wanted to deny me my purchase and humiliate me and then try to tell me her RAMP cert was somehow on the line? Again, I am a full grown adult. This is one place I won’t be returning to simply because they treated me like a criminal and made it obvious I am not welcome. They have a clique of recurring customers they like while everyone else gets dirty looks and poor service. God help you if you aren't white or if you speak Spanish in this place they might call the police. From now on I will be recommending everyone to Karl’s case and keg in Hazleton because Karl’s is a shining example of what a store should be, and I won’t stray from Karl again, Karl I’m sorry!

My favorite beer store in the greater Hazleton area. Tremendous selection. Staffed by the nicest people. Viva la Triple IPA's. :-)

Have never been to a beer store that wouldn't let you purchase something because your accompanying party, who mind you is of age, didn't have an ID on them, even though they weren't purchasing anything..If that's the case maybe they should have someone carding as you walk in the door.
