I found Handy Hand Service almost by accident and I am so so grateful for all they have done for me and my family. Ruben was one of the few contractors I contacted that promised to come over and actually did! And then he just continued following up on his promises time after time. Ruben and his crew put a new vapor barrier in our crawl space and addressed all the little issues he found while inspecting it. They also treated our staircase with a clear wood finish and added a f

I'm laughing as I write this. One star is a gift. I contacted Ruben in June about a job. He said he was working 4 weeks out he is so busy. I took this as a good sign and said come give an estimate and get me on the books for the next opening. Nothing..... sent another email asking for an estimate. Finally he said he would contact me and set up a date. More unanswered emails. Now it's August and finally he can come. Ok he will come at 9:15. At 10:15 I got a call from one of his employees he could be here in 30 minutes. I said no, I gave up on you. Can you come at 12:30? Yes he can. I leave where I am and head back home. At 1 he calls and says he is about 30 minutes away but needs to stop for gas. What?? No thanks. Obviously he is rolling in business and money so he doesn't need me. I called another contractor and he gave me an estimate THE NEXT DAY!! Typical Pocono business. "We never show up"

Vision Realized by this very sensitive contractor who LISTENS! Although the renovation of our Master Bathroom took longer than expected, the end result was OUTSTANDING!! I knew what I wanted and even drew a floor plan to show the layout. Ruben took a quick look and said it was possible. There were many challenges to overcome and Ruben De Leon and his son, Ruben, were up to it. It was a total gut job. I was consulted at every turn before they took steps that could not be undone. We were a team that adapted where necessary as we went along to assure a fabulous outcome. Ruben even suggested a type of radiant heat I hadn't known existed. He got rid of the hot water baseboard oil heat registers that took up wall space and then unrolled and installed the paper thin heating elements onto the subflooring and put in a wall mounted thermostat. Ruben found the perfect double-sink vanity to enhance the color scheme. The shower tiles we chose were another challenge as they were not perfect matches to each other; they should have all been 13 x 13 (which is odd enough) and some were larger or smaller by 1/16th of an inch--ouch. The original tile pattern idea could not work with the strange sized tiles and so another adaptation created a very unique and pleasing design. Handy Hand Services Crew also installed Crown Molding in Several rooms, patched and painted ceilings and skylite, Updated another bath by raising the height of the vanity, installing new plumbing and painting the trim. We are very happy and feel we got good value for money spent. The Rubens are also very responsive and pleasant gentlemen to have around.
