I was very excited to attend this clubhouse for water aerobics. But was very disappointed that the poor area had rust brown water near the pool floor, Also noticed that all the railings had rust up and down.When I went to the whirlpool it had brown crust around the rim. No thank you, I’ll stick to my YMCA, much cleaner than here.

Lying sales guy told me my membership would be good at any LA Fitness in the country. This turned out to be false. When I raised the issue he lied to my face and said he never told me that. He's the one with the really big nose. I forget his first name but his last name is Bizarro. Can't forget that. Also, they find any excuse they can to close the gym. A little snow? Closed. An obscure holiday? Closed. Avoid this place and go somewhere else.

Very updated & has 3 lifting platforms for Olympic lifters & bumper plates for each.Good mix of members & I try the different La Fitness locations & it's my favorite in my travels.

I like this place nelly has the best classes ever its a joy every time I get to see this person best coach and instructor iv ever met she has incredible passion for what she dose and is always kind and helpful ❤️

Pottstown location : It was better than it was when I went there before for a trial membership. To do so, about a year ago, they made me give my credit card number just to try out the gym, which left me severlwy burned when the first and last months' dues came out . It's supposed to be a FREE trial, which should mean no commitment and free and clear. When I returned recently to try out again, the same manager came by, and he remembered me for sure. This time around, no credit cards. The whole ordeal of a cc requirement for a free trial is an oxymoron. Case in point: I did a trial at the collegeville gym. I told him the story, and no credit card was required for the free pass. That one little mishap has surley had me talking bad about la fitness. The gym has been updated, mo more carpet, newer equipment, a larger functional training area, and the sauna was awesome. At 190 so higher than the recommended 180 but that could be remedied. The hot tub was a great temp, and the jets worked, but there was black mold around the perimeter, and it was quite thick in spots. Doesn't make me feel too good about it. Cleanliness still is an issue. Under the back extension machine was a collection of thick dust. Dirty! CALL IN THE CLEANERS! WHY UPGRADE THE GYM IF IT IS NOT GOING TO BE TAKEN CARE OF? If I join, it will be for the sauna hands down! A gem I was used to at 24 HR in CA , but a necessity in PA where it is so cold.

Probably the worst gym I've ever been to. Unprofessional staff, had like 8 teens at the front desk doing nothing. Wouldn't stop their conversation to help. Outdated equipment, half the machines are broken. If I were you I would just drive the extra 7 miles to the other one or better yet just get a different gym membership.

Seems there is always trouble with the pool heater. As in it is always broken and not working. Water is freezing!

The gym looks nice and new. The sales tactics and management (unclear who’s in management everyone I talked to was cagey about their name and position) are sketchy high pressure tactics.The child care workers are ALL very wonderful and caring. When leaving I noticed that my child needed a diaper change, and decided just to go back and do it in the privacy of our car. Unfortunately a car with heavily tinted windows had parked right next to our car and was just billowing pot smoke even with the windows closed. They had to have been parked there quite a while. So I had to make my kid sit in a dirty diaper and drive home to change it so that they wouldn’t be inhaling a significant amount of smoke.In the end I will be canceling my membership because I find I am just working too hard to see the good in this gym and the negatives were pretty significant. If you’re a member at another LA Fitness and just visit for day while traveling, this gym is probably fine. But I would keep looking if you are considering this as an option for your daily gym.The Collegeville LA Fitness is lovely. Clean, sales practices are fair and transparent. Awesome highly responsive management. If you don’t need childcare I would recommend giving that location a try.
