“I’ve been frequenting this store for many years now. There’s other shops where it may be easier to park but I always come back here. They have a nice and varied selection. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly care about the customer and can be flexible if you are a regular, such as ordering a product you may want that is not in stock. If you are looking for a good smoke shop in State College, I highly recommend them. Their customer service can’t be beat!”
“I took my wife shopping at Connections and she found the best top for the short trip we were planning. Looking for the newest trends, you can't go wrong with Connections Clothing!”
“Appalachian Outdoors is one of the best shops in the area! The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about their gear, and the store has a wide variety of equipment and apparel in stock. They have a great selection of outdoor clothes, packs, camping equipment, and shoes in lots of different styles and colors-- the Cotopaxi gear is especially eye-catching. Both times I've been in the staff has been incredibly helpful. A salesperson helped me pick out a great pair of Salomon hiking boots last year, and a pair of "On"running shoes most recently. The running shoes they carry are mostly for trail running, but an employee helped me find a pair of street running shoes that were just what I was looking for. Plus, they have a bunch of cool outdoor games for sale, like frisbees, cards and hacky sacks. Overall, I look forward to stopping in at AO whenever I need new gear!”
“I love this place. For the mango pickle and the incense, sure. But it's friendly and messy and wonderful. Go in every month or so; you never know what you might find. And ask about whatever might be new. This is a gem of a place.”
“This store is amazing. The lady working came from the Williamsport store because COVID hit the State College store. She was the only one there. Not only was she very attentive, but she was super nice! She held a pair of jeans for my sister who called from Maryland. Amazing customer service!”
“Shopped here many times as a student, but my best experience was as an alum. Ordered a bunch of shirts for my son for Christmas, and the one I wanted has gone out of stock since I had purchased it. When they notified me, I explained that the out of stock shirt was why I chose to purchase there and the one I wanted most. The staff was able to ship my order out without that shirt so that I would have it in time, and then quickly shipped out the last shirt ASAP as soon as it was available. Awesome customer service! ❤️”
“I was really impressed with the Kohl's employee, Brooke, at the check out register. She took the time to straighten out and help me claim my Kohl's cash, rewards and 20% off without me asking. Thanks Brooke! You made my day!”
“One of the few non-food or bar related businesses downtown that has been there for 10+ years and is still thriving. Anytime I go here there is almost always a line at the checkout. They have lots of cool stuff here. It's a great place to get unique gifts. Urban also has a cool atmosphere and I like how everything is very spread out and it does not feel too cluttered and cramped.
Pro tip: if you shop here a lot, make an UO account and get the app. You can earn rewards, check out new arrivals and get style inspo.”

311 Benner Pike, State College“It is one of my favorite stores, lots of fun finding great brands at cheap prices. Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Hilfiger, and so on. Just got an awesome Calvin Klein coat for 60 bucks. The retail tag says $225. Great deals in this place.”
“I would give the place 5 stars if it weren't for a few select employees. 2 in particular who usually work evening. One has blue hair the other is African American. These 2 ladies are nothing but rude and disrespectful. I overheard them making fun of my clothes that I was selling, who does that while working within earshot?? Do what most people do and wait until I leave, common sense ladies. Truthfully if I see they are working, I usually turn around and leave. This isn't just a one time thing. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, everyone has bad days, but to be rude and nasty to everyone is just not acceptable.
Now the positive! The other employees are fabulous! Especially the 2 males who have been there for awhile. If you are going in there to make your money back on brand new items, this isn't the place. But if you are going and looking for yardsale prices without the hassle, then your in for a treat. They work efficiently as to not take up to much of your time do you can get on with your day. The selection changes daily so why not stop in so the time?! You never know what you might find!”
“The workers were very nice. They were super helpful. Someone said stop spraying cologne because it was giving him a headache, but I and my friends couldn't even smell it. He also had a disrespectful tone.”
