BUYER BEWARE! We were excited about this company being owned by a woman and it was one of the main reasons why we chose this company. However, I can NOT recommend this company. Owner Brandy McAulay was the most unprofessional licensed title agent I’ve ever dealt with. She kept complaining about the seller and made it extremely difficult for us to close. After closing, we never received our deed or title insurance documents and never heard from her again. She made it clear that she was sick of dealing with us and no longer wanted to work with us. She also made an accounting error that she somehow blamed us for and we never got a clear explanation about it. In the end, I would either go with another title company or make sure that Ms. McAulay doesn’t get directly involved with your transaction. Her involvement delayed our closing and complicated it beyond our expectations.

Just last Friday we had our first settlement with Universal and the ENTIRE process from my first phone call, during, and at closing, each and everyone that I spoke with were FANTASTIC, sooo very helpful, sooo kind and sooo fun!! Kudos to the team I worked with of Jade (my main source totally terrific), Sarah, and Mike!!!Again, EVERYONE was extremely helpful, patient, and made for a smooth transition and really did make it fun!!We will 100% use Universal for our future purchases!!!THANK YOU so very much to all of you, it is extremely hard to find a company, let alone a team that will go above and beyond like this one!!

Like most consumers, I probably wouldn't know the first thing about mortgage closings and everything that goes into them, other than they can be complicated, time-consuming, a general pain and fees can add up. Thankfully, Universal makes it easy for their customers and takes away the pain as well as the junk fees. They were a pleasure to work with for my refinance closing and I'd highly recommend them to any consumer, mortgage loan officer or realtor.

The team at Universal Settlement Services of PA are TOP NOTCH!! They are the most pleasant and professional people we have had the pleasure of working with on several closings of our properties. We have worked with other settlement companies, and USS is by far the best in the industry!! They do their homework and won't stop until they have things unraveled and perfect. There were no questions of titles or other property concerns when we were ready for closing, they have it all perfectly set and really go beyond to produce an extremely professional package at closing. BEST of the BEST!!
