Shelly Andrews, in the loan department on Science Park Road, has helped me so much on a few occasions. This time I called the day before Thanksgiving, thinking I wouldn't get an answer to my question until the next week. I left a message and within an hour, Shelly called me back, answered all my questions and more. I was able to go into the holiday weekend knowing everything was handled. She's knowledgeable and doesn't give you any answers unless she knows she's giving you a 100 % correct/truthful answer. I appreciate her so much!

We just closed on a loan and cannot say enough good things about every aspect of Arize’s Science Park Road office. Shelly Andrews, the loan manager we worked with, was terrific and was a true professional. The whole office is friendly and upbeat- there is no “stuffy” or “pretentiousness” like you’d have at a traditional bank. We’ve been members for many years and have used countless services the Credit Union has had available and it’s always been pleasant and positive. I highly recommend you check in with Arize for all your banking needs!

They charge bogus charges on "returned mail" when you're supposed to be on paperless. Then try to black mail you into keeping your account if they give the charge back. They promise credit building cards to get you in the membership then deny the card. In my opinion it's a pretty shady business.

So inconsistent as a bank. I had an account here since 1990 when it was SPE, but here I sit at home under duress due to this bank. It's a holiday weekend and they haven't deposit my check so I can't get my kid diapers. But last week my check was deposited instantly.

THE WORST. AVOID!!!! I have a car loan through ARIZE - when I moved to Maryland, it took them 6 months and numerous phone calls to have the title sent to the MVA. Now I'm being told I will be charged for mailed paper statements - I'm all for saving trees, so I wouldn't mind if I weren't certain that I'd already signed up for paperless statements ages ago. So, here I go to log into my online account once again to probably see that I'm already signed up for paperless statements except, no, I can't log in because if you don't log into your online account for a while, they disable it. There are no instructions for how to get it unlocked. If you go to their page, you can find that you have to call them. So annoying when they have fairly limited hours (no Saturday hours, no hours outside of regular working hours). So, I will have to wait until after the weekend to try to squeeze the dreaded deed of calling them into my work day - this is a whole other circus of misery. No one competent ever answers the phone. You must always be transferred to someone who definitely will not be at their desk. I have dealt with ARIZE for other purposes, too, as the non-profit that I was involved with had an account here. People rotate on our BOD, as with many organizations, and switching the people on our account never got done correctly and always involved jumping through hoops. Their practices are just so archaic, it's painful. I hate leaving negative reviews, I rarely do, but please save yourself from using ARIZE.

I'd give a zero if I could. The negative reviews below about cover it. I had to start balancing a check book again because of the roller coaster back and forth charges, fees, reversals and oh yes, checks I don't even possess-my favorite of all. Who uses checks these days besides businesses? Do THEY even use them?

passed back and forth for over two hours now, have been hung up on twice, when you placed a wrong block on my card for no reason, i did not call it in and the card is in my lap. Horrible customer service.........

Maybr update your website when you change the hours. Seems logical. Also, many other banks you can deposit money into your account with the machine outside but this one does not. Seems outdated.

Avoid this credit union. We had a business account here for a year or so. Every time we brought cash deposits in the tellers would make us feel like it was a giant inconvenience to bring them money. Most of our deposits took 2-3 tellers about 30 minutes to complete.Deposit rates are terrible. I'm not sure why anyone would choose to use this bank.

I've been a member since 1998. In addition to having loans, I've also had 100s of contacts with the tellers. Fantastic customer service.
