Met up with a local foodie group for lunch here. It was my first time in Sakura and I was looking forward to it.The place was clean and well decorated. Menus, napkins, and chopsticks were already on our table of ten. The restaurant is BYOB but offers glassware and openers if needed. Our orders were taken and while we waited and conversed, bowls of steamed and salted edamame were placed for us to enjoy. My order, a tempura shrimp bento box, came with Miso soup which arrived shortly after the edamame. Rich broth with small squares of tofu and pieces of seaweed. It was well flavored and very tasty.Lunch was then served as our table all had ordered various boxes. Mine was heaped high with crispy tempura shrimp (2), broccoli (1), onion rings (2), and white/sweet potato chunks (3). A bowl of teriyaki sauce was just the right touch for dunking. Also included was a generous portion of steamed white rice, California rolls, and shumai. The shumai was probably the best I've ever eaten.Lunch portions were substantial and more than I could eat in one setting. It was a very pleasant experience and based on the number of patrons dining, seems to be quite popular.

Really nice inside for sitting down and eating in. Got a couple of sushi rolls that were delicious. Service was great, food came out quick.

Excellent Japanese food in State College. We had an appetizer and a main dish each and it all came reasonably fast and it was amazing. The place is very well put together too, and the staff is nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Terrible service. We got in, there was nobody seating guests. We finally got seated. We waited 30 minutes and nobody came to take our order. We went to the desk and asked if they could come to the table. A waitress came. Took our order, she said it would take 10 or 15 minutes. We saw two other tables leave because nobody was taking their order. We waited 35 minutes more and nothing. We were the third table to leave within an hour. We also observed a lot of issues with the orders.

Adequate quality sashimi and appetizers. Used to be better before pandemic. Dining atmosphere is also adequate. I go there because it is nearby. Servers are professional but not warm.

We tried 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes. All were great, especially the bento dish, seafood noodles, shrimp tempura and the new favorite, the “I love you roll”!

I've eaten here several times and the food is good. I'm not very adventurous with Asian foods but the hibachi lunches are satisfying and the portions are generous.

Good restaurant on the outskirts of State College. I was a little disappointed in the selection on the menu. I would go back again.

Best place for sushi in state college! Sometimes the sushi and items could be quality checked for freshness more but for being little ways away from the ocean it's still top notch...

I’ve been going here for a while and really like, affordable sushi, always clean. Quiet nice place to get lunch or dinner. Only minor downside is that it’s sometimes takes a bit to get your food but it’s worth it’s wait. I personally haven’t had better sushi in state
