Very friendly and helpful. The manager called me 5 days before my scheduled appointment to let me know that she couldn’t get the tires that I ordered online using with a Black Friday deal in in time for my scheduled appt due to them being backordered. She was very nice and offered to get me in 4 similar tires and still gave me the Black Friday deal pricing. She even called me the day before my appointment to verify that the tires had arrived and were ready to be installed the next day. That’s great service.

I'm often on the road and have limited time to spare when I return home, with most of that time dedicated to working on my truck. This doesn't leave much room for other tasks. That's why it became a significant issue when I placed an order for tires that were on sale and scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. However, upon arriving at my appointment, I was dismayed to discover that they didn't have the tires I had ordered. What disappointed me even more was the lack of communication; they hadn't informed me about the issue.Nevertheless, I want to acknowledge that despite this hiccup, the this tire store went above and beyond to ensure I got the tires needed and installed on my ex's car. I understand that companies can make mistakes, but what truly sets the good ones apart from the rest is how they handle such situations. In this case, I believe they handled it exceptionally well, and I was genuinely pleased with the final results. And thank you especially to the assistant manager. She was great even if she did look a little over worked.

The lady working at the counter was very professional and helpful. They were very busy and she tried to get people serviced as quick as possible. Not sure how she kept her cool.

Sean was fantastic at fitting me into the busy schedule and making sure I was taken care of. Waking up to a dead battery is the worst because most places make you drop your car off for the day - but not with this shop! This was my first time at Pep Boys and it was an amazing experience.

Rita is knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and resourceful. She went above and beyond to get rims and tires for my car, and accommodated me for everything she could. She was kind and always kept her word. I would always come here for tires and services.

Failed to address issue with vehicle. Service technician left early and did not take vehicle for a test drive after said repairs. Picked up vehicle and same issue still present after paying $500 for a repair, the part was up charged from a $60 part to almost $300. After arguing that the part cost $60, service staff said that we could have brought our own part. Not sure that being charged $116 to check code on vehicle was needed. Found two problems with vehicle and I gave the go ahead to make repairs. Went to store to find out only one part was replaced. Absolute zero customer service. Tried calling numerous times when app said vehicle was done and no one answered for over an hour.

DO NOT GO HERE. I was nearly scammed.I made an appointment for my Honda that I've had for a year. I had just moved states and needed an oil change and PA inspection. When I came to pick up my vehicle, they told me there was $1,000 in damages. They said my shocks were leaking fluid, my brake pads needed replaced, and my rotors were "completely rusted."Mind you, I had just had a Maryland (2 year) inspection completed on my vehicle less than 6 months prior. I was shocked that my vehicle needed these repairs, and even more shocked of the price. AND THEY NEVER CHANGED MY OIL. But, they did charge me a $50 fee for God knows what. Their time, I suppose?I told them no to the repairs, and that I would take my car elsewhere for a second opinion. The man at the desk said "that doesn't seem safe of you." I talked to another man at the desk who said they do a double mark up parts because they no longer have parts shipped in. So, they get them from Advance Auto, who already has them marked up, and have to mark it up again for profit.I was baffled, and decided to take the car to my usual mechanic in Mifflin County. He said it looked fine and passed it for inspection. I then took it to another local shop for a THIRD opinion, and he said it looked great. I told the third shop about my encounter with Pep Boys, and he said he's heard of Pep Boys doing this to many clients.Please, take your car elsewhere. They may have great availability, but it isn't worth it. They definitely tried to scam me.

I called yesterday because I needed 2 bulbs put in the front signel lights and was given an appointment for today. I asked if they could come outside & install them, since I'm disabled. No problem. Today he tells me $76. I said "$76 for 2 bulbs, that's ridiculous! " He said "Well, there's the labor and I should try someplace else." Great way to get new customers!!! I'll certainly never go there again, nor will anyone else I know.

After getting a flat in a very rural area, this location was only place open on a Sunday and had the tire I needed in stock within a 100 miles. I was able to get a quick appointment and work was done much quicker than expected. Excellent service.

Excellent service! They had a comfortable waiting area and the employees were exceptionally nice. Just the way it should be. I highly recommend anyone goes there to get their service for an engine that runs on gasoline and oil.

This place is trash go somewhere else to get your car fixed! If I could leave a 0 star review I would on this place. My starter needed to be replaced so we brought it in and the original bill was 900 dollars for “engine diagnostics” and the replacement. Through some questioning I was able to get the price down to 600 with the help of my dad. But this was the least of my worries. The day after it was “fixed” I was back on the highway when out of nowhere the engine got ridiculously hot which caused me to have to pull over on the side of the road. After letting the car cool down it wouldn’t even start up again and now it is so messed up I need to send it all the way to a dealer!!! This has been really frustrating to say the least! Go else where please

State college Pa. Store has great employees and store managers. I did have one problem and I hope that someone in a higher position reads this. The online scheduling is a total mess. I made my appointment for 3:30pm and figured that one hour was more than enough time to install a new set of tires. I come to find out that they had 2 mechanics for tires and approximately 9-10 customers scheduled for the same exact time. This has been an ongoing problem for the employees at this store. All it would take is to change the scheduling process to match the amount of help is working the store. Once again, the people at the store were very apologetic and super professional. The problem unfortunately is with corporate.
