First time writing a google review and they definitely worth it. I am here for state inspection in afternoon and at first they told me maybe come tomorrow. But after I said I have a road trip next day, they immediately got to work inspecting the vehicle. In less than 30 minutes, I completed the payment. No any extra charges, very warm and kind people, quick to act, everything was great. This is your best choice for car inspection in state college.

Called because I have a problem with my car. Was immediately told: "we don't do that". I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you need actual help. I wish I could give negative stars. Absolutely abysmal customer service and no effort to help.
Edit: Then responds by telling me I'm an idiot for even trying to self service my car due to their extremely high prices because they are used to ripping off students and pass those high prices on to the locals. Definitely look elsewhere for service.

Fast, honest, professional and friendly. Went in for inspection and told them I’d probably need brakes. Instead of going with my assumption and charging me, they checked, said I didn’t, and warned me about my checking my tires in the future instead. Inspection was also finished in ~3/4 hours midweek. 100% recommend supporting this local business.

Outrageous prices. Quoted $850 for a brake replacement and charged $70 to release my car after diagnosing the issue. I ended up getting it done by someone else for $281.

I went because of a noise in the air conditioning.
I paid almost $180 because they were going to replace a relay and they said they took a long time working.
In 2 days the problem returned I went again and they did not solve it. They offered no explanations or refund.
I discovered that good mechanics are not close, there are places 15 minutes away with better customer service and fair prices.
I am very sure about the place on the corner of Hamilton Square September 2022 and I could check it out

I'm really cautious on giving bad reviews, but I have to rate this place 1 star. They charged me lots of money for repairing. I went to two other places. One of them offered me 1/2 of the Penn's auto service's prices with the SAME service and another offered me 1/3 of their prices. Wow. I don't know why there are good reviews on this auto shop. Just avoid going there for overcharging!

So glad I found this garage to fix my son’s car that broke down while attending PSU.I was strictly going off of reviews and now adding another. My son’s car needed a new water pump and thermostat and they had everything replaced in 2 days. I checked with my local mechanic I trust and use and he gave me his price. Penn’s Auto fixed everything for around the same price. They were great to deal with and communicated everything to me. Would recommend and definitely use again if needed.
