It took six months to get a pair of boots back that just needed the sole reattached, and the repair did not hold. I don't know what's going on as I know folks who have used him with no issue before, but I did not have a good experience.

This place is a no. I'd used him in years past with no complaints, but no more. I just picked up a pair of shoes that had been there for FOUR months. I picked them up, unfinished. I have no idea why he keeps taking in more shoes when he can't get to the ones he's had for months.The day I dropped them off he said to pickup in a week. I went in and they were not done. I then called him every 10 days or so only to be told they'd "be done next week." First it was supply chain, then it was sickness....whatever. I wasted SO much time Googling the business only to see that he was "open," yet not open. I'd call and it would ring and ring. For a while he had a FB page he'd update with hours but last week he said he took his FB page down. So now there is no way to see when he's actually open. Anyway, I've wasted plenty of time trying to figure out when and if my shoes would be done. I actually had to go buy a new pair of black shoes which defeats the entire purpose of show repair!

The last of the cobblers in the area. He does a great job and at a great price. I've had many repairs to my wife's heels over the years. Saves shoes not available anymore.

Driver up from Altoona because McCabes closed, and had two pairs of Thorogood work boots resoled and reconditioned over the last month. Due to supply chain issues the soles took longer to get ordered in, but well worth the wait. Boots feel great, already broken in and ready to be worn another 2-3 years. If you have work boots that need a new lease on life, take them here, you won’t be disappointed.

Extremely disappointed!!! My heels were dropped off several weeks ago with the promise they’d be ready in a week. We’ve stopped by a few times and we’re told they still weren’t finished.When you call the phone number listed, you can’t even leave a message for a return call. Now the hours have changed. Hopefully, my heels will be finished by the fall!

Asked them to attach some loops, which I hear purchased elsewhere, to my boots (Blundstone). The service was very reasonably priced and the turn around was quick.

Made an old beat up pair of boots look and feel like new. Can't believe in 2021 there is still, not only a shoemaker but, a great shoemaker. Lucky for State College.

The owner is very pleasant, and his work is the best I've found in the area and very reasonably priced. When I have been there, COVID practices are in place.
