I worked at the Penn State Bookstore as a cashier when I was a student. I will never forget when our manager, Sue came to us cashiers and told us that none of us deserved to make over $7.25 an hour. I had never felt more dehumanized in my life. Hope she no longer works there!

Don't place any technology or online order because there is a good chance it is backordered and won't be available for another year. Staff is nice, but look elsewhere if you want reliable online order fulfillment.

Doesn't have as much Penn State swag as it used to. I used to get all my PSU gear here. Now I have to go down college avenue to find some cool stuff. Still a great place to buy PSU gear.

they send emails without the ablity to reply to them. I think that is a type of rude that gets compared to body parts or members of the equine family. they are expensive, and due to corporate models that do not fit into a university increasingly get ignored. I have profited from their incompetence, so I guess I can give them two stars, and at least there is a campus book store, so we have that still going for us.

Bought some PSU gear before the WVU game. I get home (12 hour car ride later) to see they didn’t take the tag off the shirt. I’ve been calling all week, leaving voicemails, and can’t get a call back. They’ll be upset when they see I contested the credit card charge.

I have ordered graduation apparel online and visited in person. The store is beautiful inside- clean, many apparel and swag options- trendy, and unlike what I've seen in many other shops nearby. It is expensive. Shirts and light sweaters from $35-140. However, I will likely splurge and treat myself to a few things. The online service was no bueno. I placed an order- got an immediate confirmation and was told in the confirmation that I'd need to respond to an email with my height for cap and gown. I got the email- responded immediately and told them not to hesitate to let me know if they needed anything more. After waiting a week with no tracking number or response I called repeatedly, left messages, and emailed. I realized they needed my degree major as well and I hadn't told them that in my email- BUT no one bothered to reply and let me know. I emailed with that info and requested an update and got an email that basically just said "confirmed receipt". I replied again- that's great but I need a tracking number. I'd paid for expedited shipping, was coming in from out of state and would need my gown to graduate. I finally got a tracking number and response but the service was poor. This was an important order. I needed it to walk. I got it just in time- but when you order something almost a month in advance of needing it and pay for expedited shipping, I shouldn't have been worried like that. Not cool.

if any body is from Ohio state get off yelp this place is pretty good but the stuff is crazy expensive. also for the person who bought the shirt you were complaining about something you bought if it is that expensive don't buy it yes that is a expensive shirt but you can buy it somewhere else for a lot cheaper. The staff is always kind btw I'm 10

I drove down from Williamsport to here because I attend PCT and needed to get a laptop and I got taken care of by Sue Glad! I arrived on a Friday afternoon of all times the week before school starts with a small issue from the Veterans Administration and she was such a sweetheart!!! She was amazing and made my experience there an AMAZING one! She took care of me and made my experience a painless and fast one! Also, the store is super big and clean! Great people there! Hope to visit again soon! Thanks Sue!

First of all, every time I go into the bookstore and ask for staff help, they are always either extremely rude and bothered by your need to help, or they don’t know what they are doing.When it came to purchasing textbooks, I ended up receiving my textbooks two weeks late because ONE of three or four textbooks was on back order. Every time I called no one would answer, or the person who did would be too incompetent to locate any of my textbooks. I finally got my books but I had to pay for different formats after walking down during my lunch break during my 8 hour shift (as I work and go to school full time)Now when it came to returning my textbooks, rentals were due on December 16th, but with the weather this year finals were pushed back to the 16th and 17th - thus extending the time I needed the book. Knowing this, I called the bookstore multiple times and couldn’t even get a staff member to answer the phone. I did not know you could mail rentals back in (which I wouldn’t even trust anyway considering mail carriers are so rough and these books are so expensive). I left multiple voicemails and the only response I get is days later to my email. This email looks like a spam so I look past it for the first few hours and then I decided to click on it to see - turns out it was Bill Keister basically telling me that there was nothing he would do and that I was being charged the full price for the books. He told me that I should have checked online to see that I could mail them - yes Bill I could have. But you and your staff could have done better considering how much you charge for literally everything in your store. this is extremely disappointing. I work hard to get to where I am and you literally scan kids out of money.

Bought the iPad / Airpods deal. but received the Airpods 3 months late on the last day of the finals week despite multiple next week promises, and after a new version had already been released; and after the thanksgiving deals when the Airpods were offered at less than 50% by Apple. I paid a $50 premium over Amazon to buy it from here to get the free Airpods, but it turned out to be a bad deal.. I should've bought the iPad from amazon and I no longer need the Airpods!
