“Small grocery store selling homemade foods and bulk items among other groceries. We always stop when in the area. Sweet sticky rolls are amazing; but they sell out- so get them early.”
“We get apple cider and and no sugar added apple butter at Sam Beachy & Sons when we are visiting the area from Texas. Unbelievable tasting apple butter and apple cider.”
“I love this place!! They have such great deals. And you can order meat by calling I got 40 pound chicken breasts packaged for $70 and they are really big and the better then Walmart and Giant Eagle meat. Hamburger prices are cheaper and quality is better. You can get at times oils that usually cost $12 for $4 and they have boxes of cat and dog food 3 bags sometimes 4 random name brand for $15 a box you save a good bit. And the deli meat is cheaper then the big corporations and I believe better. I highly recommend shopping here. There is a lot of parking and there is a bathroom. And there is ramp to get into store if you have a wheelchair. Everyone is super nice and friendly. Support your small business people by shopping here.”
“Wide variety of bulk frozen foods and cheese. I usually go there every two weeks. They also have styrofoam products if you are planning an event. Staff always friendly and fast at getting your products that you want.”
“Great place to go to for snacks and anything else you may need (I always end up getting munchies here when staying in town). Never had a problem with employees who have always been friendly. Prices definitely reasonable.”
“Always enjoy shopping in Meyersdale when traveling between PA and MD. Wonderful produce, very good meat section and carry a good selection of the grocery line-canned goods etc.”
“This store is looking much better these days. Thanks for y'alls hard work.I went in for the sale on clearance items. The tall young man working there was very helpful.”
“We were traveling back from visiting Frostburg and went by this little country store during the lunch hour. Not a lot of items in the store but they have pizza, wedgies, subs, hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream items. We got a steak and cheese sub and a coney dog. The sauce on the coney dog tasted a lot like that sauce my wife has made over the years. It was a tad sweet but pretty close in taste. I wish I would have gotten some jalapeno peppers on it which would have offset the sweetness. It was a pretty good hot dog. The steak and cheese sub was good, although I thought it was a little salty. My wife thought it was fine. I will have to say it was very bright in color with the lettuce and tomatoes. Both items were cooked while we waited. We didn’t have any pizza but did see some of them go out that day for take-out, they looked good. In fact, one lady had 3 or 4 pizza’s and I think 6 sundaes or such. I failed to take a picture of the menu. Actually, the menu I picked up and took with me had different prices than what was posted in the store. The hard copy menu was more expensive. I guess wedgies are a big thing in the area and are made with the same crust as a pizza. Not sure of the difference between a wedgie or calzone. Overall, this place was a pleasant surprise. Would I go again? Yes. How far would I go to get there? 20 minutes.”
“This is usually my go to DG for quick items. The store is a hit or miss as far as stocked items but other than that the employees are nice and I usually don't have to wait too long to check out. Their self check out is a nice addition as well. I've also done dg to go and pick up as well with very little to no issues. I see Karen everytime im there and she's always a big help! I hope as a company you're paying her good because she deserves every last penny.”
“Always accommodating because I get off of work late & arrive at the very last minute. They're very understanding, let me get in, gram my things and get out. Great group of people.”
“Only place to buy real (not instant or "quick") grits up here in yankee land! They also have great beans, spices, deli meats, breads, etc. Prices are good, and staff are helpful. This is a regular shopping spot for us, and I always look forward to it.”
