“A MUST STOP when in the area! I try to stop in The Alley Door whenever I am nearby. The inventory is always new and there’s many hidden gems. In today’s visit my sister found a vineyard vines sweatshirt, a rails dress and a black linen dress. She also purchased some very cute tea cups. I found a new hat and brand name swim trunks for my husband, an adorable brass sailboat figurine, and a pair of RL shorts. I’ve always found something here that I either needed or couldn’t pass up for the GREAT prices!!! Carol is a doll. And the shop is organized and fun to shop in. “This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”

“I'm not sure what price complaints are about. I found a flawless Jos Banks tux (won't need a single alteration) for $60. On a whim I decided to look for formal shoes and they happened to be on half price sale. A pair of all-leather Italians that listed for $6-700 in stores were $5.00 (like new.) Maybe men's stuff is cheaper here?”

The music and atmosphere are great and I find it relaxing to browse around every few weeks and see what’s new. It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and the items span basic $3 bin stuff to higher-end name brand…all priced very fairly.I found a dress for my bridal shower, practically brand new high top Vans sneakers, cozy sweaters for winter, dress pants and a top for a holiday party. “I stopped in the store for something else... had no idea it was a consingment / ebay store. While chatting I saw a novelty item sellling for $50. I really wanted it so I'm like here's my $50 and was ready to take it off their hands. However, another person had reserved it although they hadn't been back to get it. So he did not sell it to me. I thought that was honorable. It had been a long while so he could have easily sold it to me and just given the other buyer their deposit back.”

“As far as uniqlo go, this one is very standard. Inventory is pretty normal as well. All the staff have been great for me. They do have this thing where at least one of the escalators are always out of order though. My only gripe is that when coming here to pickup online orders, it can be a challenge to find someone to get your order as pickup is not at the front desk but in a corner of men's tucked away downstairs. Overall, great place for a uniqlo”
