He chambered a barrel for a custom action and threaded the muzzle. The turn around time was quicker than anyone else I’ve used, the threading was the best I’ve ever seen. The rifle is a real shooter, I just wish he was closer to me to send more work his way!

Re-cut the dovetails on my Rock Island 1911 10mm to match the Novak specs. Installed new sights. Fantastic job. All done with a short lead time and fair price. Has become my main gunsmith. He also re-barreled a 300 win mag for 300 RUM.

My experiance with Ulmer's Gun smitihing has been excellent. I have been a customer for over 20 years. He has not only repaired my firearms, he has built several rifles for me. One of which I have taken two different 170 inch plus deer in Canada at long range.I highly recommend him.

I went in to ask about the fitting of a barrel I purchased for my 1911. Ulmer checked it out and recommended to shoot it. He did not think any work was necessary. From this I gather he is an honest and knowledgeable businessman. If I ever need anything, I'd go back.
