Only takes a phone call on Saturday to get a feel of the ignorance of this place. Talks over you abd clearly doesn’t understand the question being asked. I ll take my estate elsewhere

Great auction!

I had to consign a large amt of antiques & collectibles in a short time. This place took my stuff and gave me almost nothing. Items went missing; valuables were supposedly sold in box lots for small amounts of money. Big big ripoff when I was at a vulnerable time. Beware

I brought in items in brand new condition, still wrapped and in original boxes. It was a Danbury Mint Princess Diana doll in her wedding gown and 6 additional outfits all still wrapped and new. All several years old. This was in Feb. 2022. I was told that there would be an on line doll auction coming up in early spring and that it would be seen by thousands of people worldwide. I was told that I could see somewhere between $300-$500 although there was no guarantee which I understood. The auction did not take place until Nov. 2022. When I checked on line, the items were not posted. I called and was told that they would look for them. Not a good sign! The next day, after no response, I spoke to Cindy, the owner. She said that they would not be part of the on line auction but rather in the in person auction a few days later. Several weeks later I received a check for $6.75. I was devastated and furious to say the least. I spoke to Cindy again and she very politely told me that there was nothing that could be done about it. I never would have left the items at all if I hadn't been misled when I brought them in to be evaluated. I will never know what actually happened but I do know that I would never go back there again.

Completely unacceptable business practices. There was no transparency & I was never told how the auction actually works. Apparently, they put my items (12 beautiful stemware wine glasses, a Fitz & Floyd serving tray that was never used, an unusual 28" cheese tray that was brand new & a custom made large flower arrangement into a group sale with no minimum to start. I was told I made $2.00. Is that unbelievable? The day before the auction I talked to Cindy & she didn't even know where all my items were. She said she would call me that night or over the weekend. I never did hear from her. This was happening 2 months after I brought my items in. I was told the auction would be in 2 weeks ( a complete lie). So, needless, to say I am very upset & at a loss. I would rather have donated the items to Purple Heart to help the veterans which I often do. The only reasonable person in the company is a man named Tom who was polite & didn't hang up on me as one other employee did. If you do not want to be cheated do not bring anything to auction off to Stephenson's Auction House. Dina L.

We used this auction house several times before with great results. However, this last time I was not impressed. We were told to bring at least $200 worth of items in a bundle in order to be able to drop it off. We ended up bringing at least over $300 but probably more like $400 instead. We were then mailed a check for $9.00 - that's it. We were disgusted and not happy about the results. Emailed the company only to get no response at all. What a waste of time in packing everything up for them to just give it away for free basically. We will NOT be using them again or recommending them to anyone.

I recently won an item from Stephenson's Auction thru Liveauctioneers. Upon receiving the item, I learned that it was not nearly as old as the auction description had stated. I provided proof to Cindy Stephenson and she promptly allowed me to return the item in question. Liveauctioneers then gave me a full refund. That kind of honesty and integrity is not overwhelmingly found in the auction business and I sincerely appreciate Cindy and her team standing behind what they sell. She turned a potentially negative experience into a very positive one. I will definitely be looking to participate in more auctions from Stephenson's. Thank you Cindy!

I’’m writing this review because these guys at Stephenson’s are awesome. I was outbid and purchased different items online. Later I realized the person who outbid me retracted their bid. I wasn’t able to purchase the decoy and these people understood and helped resolve this issue. Thanks and I am a follower from now on.David

They're very professional here; they run lovely auctions in house and online.I believe the company is run mostly, if not wholly by family members.I frequent their Friday auctions, where I've purchased quite a lot of high-end items and I'm very satisfied with doing business with them. I'll definitely continue attending when they return to business in house and for now I'm winning bids online.Update: Went in person today and got into a bidding war. I won. So much fun!
